There are at least 50 percent christians in the US. The media ,prompted by people who hate christians, degrade the day and reason for the day.

Possible because it is not the birth of Jesus Christ, but rather a pagan sabbat that evolved. If history and the bible are to be believed Jesus could not have been born in December.

I understand the symbolism of celebrating the birth of Jesus, and that Dec.25 is the widely accepted date. I think it is a very great thing to do, to give the one you worship a day to be reveled, by even part timers.

Not everyone is a Christian and not everyone celebrates Christmas. The media as a whole steers away from discussing religious issues. The advertisers keep them in business and advertisers have products that they would like to sell for Christmas presents and decorations. Christmas is really about whatever an indivdual wishes it to be.
