In the States, Christmas is like no other holiday. Of cousre, it is Christ's birthday, so we celebrate by getting ourselves millions of dollars in debt. England is not so born again Christian like now-a-day, so what do you all do on December th 25th?

I used to love christmas time. It was my favourite time of year but now I cant get into it. It just all seems so tacky and just a big commercial crapfest. How do I rediscover the magic?

This is the first year in a long time that I've had my own place to decorate. The problem is that it isn't just my place, I have a roommate. A couple weeks ago we talked about getting a Christmas tree, and agreed to find a cheap one and share the cost (should be like 10 bucks each). My mom even bought me decorations for it. This eveing, my roommate informs me that she has "bad news about the tree". She doesn't feel like she should help buy it, because her parent's have saved all this money for her for school(we're in college), and it's their money, not hers, so she can't help me buy one. She's kinda been against decorating the place from the beginning, and we've used all of my stuff that I had gotten a long time ago, so I really feel this is just her way of getting out of having a tree. Needless to say I'm a littel mad, and don't really have the money to buy the tree and lights for it....so do I find a way to get that money, or just go without the tree?

He is very thoughtful and nice so I feel i should get him something. he doesn't watch sports but plays hockey, soccer, volleyball he has money so he has everything he wants. Some one suggested i get him a coffee table book :/. I want to find a book that teaches ramdon stuff about life, the world. i want a good fun book. he told me he likes to learn ramdon stuff. He has spent a lot on me on dates he is taking me to see a ballet next week. and is taking me to his holiday work party. He is special to me. At work we are sponsoring a local family for Christmas. I volunteered to buy a present for each child. The girl is 9 yrs old and the boy is 11 years old. I do not know anything about these children & what they like so I need suggestions! What kind of reasonably priced gifts can I buy these children?! I was watching the news this morning, about how good the new LED christmas lights are. I knew they were more energy efficient, but the news guy also mentioned that they help cut down on carbon monoxide emissions. I had not heard that before, and I'm trying to figure out how this is possible. do old lights emit toxins??? I have a ton up in my store!!
