It's "Merry Christmas"! For all of you liberal fools who can't handle the thought of a religious HOLIday, then leave. I am so sick of this "politically correct" garbage, that sometimes I just want to move to Canada or something. We should start a protest or something.

I strongly think that you got the right idea behind the Christmas spirit and the other people relate it to a warped sort of idea of spending money they wish they did not want too in the first place. But That is nothing to do with the Christmas Cheer and the Holiday Season. It is Being together with loved one and family if one wants to give gifts. they can but not required.
I think most people think that this is required every Christmas.
Well, for little children I could see where they get something at Christmas form Santa(parents) but yea I think with things and gifts getting high and higher priced that a lot of older people are doing away with the Christmas spirit and I think that is very sad! I love Christmas myself and the lights.
If I had the money my house would be caked by now in Christmas lights if the spirit is not where your at then maybe you can change it yourself or at least try to by maybe buying a light strand or 2 and put up somewhere in the house or a small artificial Christmas tree and some lights. you might be surprised how you can teach old people things that they may of forgotten.
What's the point in taking away "Merry Christmas"!? Going against freedoms of speech and religion to please some minority groups...sickening.
Thoughts??!?!! [A] oh it is I think the way that there religion broke off from the original re legion when the world was started and was rewritten over and over a lot of details got twisted and turned around to suit their way of living and beliefs Like the name Santa Claws - Some tried to say that he was evil. that is bunk! that is the answer right there.
They most likely will not say this they will most likely be on the defense and say that is out of bounds. but they are defending only what they were taught to believe. Who are you living your life for? You or someone else? if it bugs you to conform, then don't! th no Christmas spirit (that is) I know it would be so so bad.

Folks should be free to celebrate (or not) however they wish.
It just seems odd to try to ignore the origins of community holidays. Most knowledgeable Christians know that Jesus wasn't born on December 25 but realize that was a day the ancient Roman Catholic Church choose because it was already a national holiday celebrated in the Roman Empire. It's not now or then unusual for the Church to incorporate customs and holidays from the surrounding cultures and community practices into it's customs and observations. Many of these became so incorporated into the life of the Church that we forget their origins. And of course human beings have been observing the Winter solstice for eons before Christians decided to celebrate the birth of our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.
And this doesn't begin to take into account all the other religious traditions that happen during this time of year.
So let tolerance and diversity reign in peace among all people of goodwill during these dark months!
Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays to you all!

Not really. Some people get offended. I used to say "Merry Christmas" while working at Dunkin donuts. I didn't think anything about it until one guy stared at me and said, "I'm Jewish. Happy Holidays." and just turned away pissed off. After that I said "Happy Holidays" unless it was clear "Merry Christmas" was quite appropriate. Some people take it seriously.
But on a personal note, I don't care. I have friends who exclaim "Happy Diwali " (and Indian holiday) along with others to me. They are just celebrating and sending good cheer. :)

Well, it's not to the point of being "outraged." What's weird is that people say, Happy Valentine's Day in February, but not "Happy Holidays"... there are bunches of holidays in Febrauary.
No, it definitely is about taking the word Christmas away from the Christmas season...

I'm in my 50's and all my life it's been Merry Christmas. I just don't understand why that is being taken away from us and replaced with Happy Holidays. So, on that thought, I could say Bah Humbug, but, won't. Instead, I'll say "MERRY CHRISTMAS!"

because of the fact the Bible Thumpers are fake effect the region. Walmart replace into on the middle of this debate a pair years back whilst all of them started requiring THEIR workers to declare 'Hppy trip journeys' insterad of 'Merry Christmas'. that isn't the travesty that individuals made it out to be. in factor of actuality there are extra trip journeys than purely Christmas. in factor of actuality a random cashier does not comprehend which holiday a random customer celebrates. So that's definitely real looking, interior the spirit of accpetance, to easily say chuffed trip journeys. that's a capture-all that asserts 'regardless of holiday you migth have fun, i desire you appreciate it.' that is not anti-Christmas. that is not anti-Christian. that is a thank you to renowned that i might desire to have faith distinctive from you with out entering right into a huge communicate.

I like Merry Christmas. It does not disgust me if someone says happy holidays. I just don't view them as being sincere. I assume they are saying that because they were told to or they are being politically correct.
Since I teach students who are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, and atheists, I wish them every joy during this wonderful winter holiday.

Merry Christmas, it is what it is. The tree is green but someone can try to make believe that it is purple; but no matter what they say, it is what it is, GREEN! Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
