2007 was the worst year yet for me. On New Years, I will blow the candles out in celebration of a bad, bad, bad year. I faded to lonelier places this year. I have learned to trust nobody but yourself, because in the end, you are all that matters. I have realized who and what is actually there for me in this life. I have become a harsh, cold, anti-social person but I am more secure, strong, and willed than ever before. I don't have an interesting experience this year, because the entire year was so morbid. My new years resolution is get my life on track with my new found mindset. And to quit smoking, thats a big one. I thank 2007 for turning me into this person, I am glad I finally figured out how life works. Relying on others to help you through will send you to only one place, a spiraling staircase to hell. I won't be able to watch the sun rise because I'll still be sleeping, trying to recover from a late night. Nice questions, though.

Achievements through 2007 -- Getting HAPPIER -- became an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree (YEAH! Endured the hormonal raging, selfish, rude, nasty teenage/young adult years).
What have I learned -- To CARE for the one FORGOTTEN Over so many, many years (at least 2 decades!) -- which is ME! Forgot what it was like to treat myself from MY Earnings ... and that is a fact. Now that I CAN indulge myself some (and yes, I've always worked hard and EARNED what I have) -- I find that I am definitely CHERISHING the SELF that is me and ENJOYING LIFE MORE in the process!
My most INTERESTING experience in 2007 -- Well, after about 2 decades of NOT dating (Divorced after a short disaster to an abusive, violent sociopath) ... I was "Surprised" by God/Fate to FINALLY start dating again -- with a Kind, Gentle, Caring and Loving MAN ... and ... most importantly -- he also is quite intelligent and just wants to be with me (and makes no demands!). He is coming to my HOME for the Holidays -- and I am definitely looking FORWARD to his arrival!
I don't think it a MUST to make New Year's Resolutions -- I think it is MORE important on how you LIVE your Life EACH and EVERY DAY -- and how you treat people as you go during the day.
I consider it a BLESSING to be able to greet each new dawn .. since in August 2006 -- that Ex (from the Short Disaster of a Marriage) did ONCE AGAIN BURGLARIZE my HOME -- and if not for the Blessing of BILLS to PAY -- I would have DIED in my home that day (and yes, he has tried before to end my life). So ... Dawn is a BLESSING that I never take for granted ... and each day is pretty in its own way!
