Columbus Day is not pointless! it is a part of history! You dont think celebrating presidents day is wrong so why do you think that celebrating columbus day is wrong? presidents do the same thing!they send you to war..which is practically killing you! and just think if columbus didnt get the courage up to really see if the world was flat then who would??

Not including the kids. I'd like to figure out what I can do/make/buy for my brother, in-laws (who are all in their 20s), friends, etc. I'm open for anything EXCEPT gift cards. What can I do that would be under $20 per person? Stocking stuffer ideas, crafts, etc. are all welcomed. I'd like to hear other people's opinion. =) Thanks!

yeah i know they give gifts to the needy children....but i thought i was for christmas.....or is it any religion....around christmas time even though they don't celebrate the holiday?

Why r people so afriad of who they will affend if they say Merry Christmas!

My son is seven. That is the first Christmas I remember. I want to give him the best Christmas ever....this will be our first as a family together on Christmas.

My answer: it was 1978 or 79. I woke up to find the Millenuim Falcon, and all the Star Wars action figures that were available at that time....WOW! Thanks Santa!

This is my boyfriend and I's first thanksgiving together and we have to go to his dad's, his mom's, and my family's thanksgiving dinners. Mine starts at 12 and his both start at 1. Mine is about 20mins away from his dads. But his mom's is about a half hour away from his dads. We want to be able to spend time with everyone, and everyone wants to spend time with us. How long should we stay at each place? When would leaving be considered rude, timewise that is?

My mom is turning 39. And... I am 18. I dont have loads of money to spend but Im really bad at this buy a gift for my mom thing because I have no diea what she wants... or really what she likes really. By "celebrate" I mean putting up a tree, decorating, exchanging gifts. Partaking in the secular aspects of the holiday without worshipping.
