Not sure but I would love to be in either Sydney, New York or on a beautiful exotic beach somewhere on New Years eve, we went to Edinburgh last year and it was fantastic so I could recommend that to you.

trust me, it is not times square, nyc. unless you're inside a building.i did it one year and it was freezing. we stood outside for like 6 hours with NO entertainment or anything. It might be okay if you bring some liquor but you would still have to stand the whole time. it's so packed with people, i just don't think a chair would be accepted. there was a little parade before the ball dropped and we did get balloons and wigs for free. but none of the confetti even came near us. I'm proud to say i did it, though, so if u go there, be prepared.

The best place for New Years is in you, your attitude and happiness are what make it happen.

"Best" is a relative term. If you want THE biggest new year's party on the planet, then statistically speaking, it's in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The entirety of the city is reduced to almost standing-room-only and holds the record for the largest on the planet. (In population.)
