Our church is having a Christmas party and we're playing "Dirty Santa", so everyone has to bring a $10 gift. It isnt gender specific or anything. What's a good gift that anybody would like for $10 or less?

we have already bought for our 7 year old son from us and also from "santa" so the only shopping left is for each other. My thought was that we would do stockings to each other to unpack on Christmas morning then maybe the following weekend head to some outlets out of town and shop and have a nice dinner. Your thoughts on this. We are in our mid thirties and there isn't anything that we just "have to have".

I have a 12 year old girl , yes she still believes. I honestly, love the innocence. I have been reading about the gal with the 9 yr old/ and 10 month. I was just crying over your answers. I believe she knows but just doesn't want to verbalize it. She asks me questions like Are you Santa? I have skirted the answer. I mean she was devasted about tooth fairy. So this will be even harder. I figured I would pull up the legend of Santa Claus and let her read that. She realizes Christmas is more than presents and we sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. I have kept it alive as I see the magic in her eyes. We watched past Christmas morning videos and I try to remind her of that enchantment. With all that is bombarding kids today I guess I just want to hold on to this as long as I can.

Last year, the Christians had to keep quiet during Christmas so not offend other religious groups. Has anyone asked which group were offended? Does it matter what religious foundations Target and Wal-Mart have, as long as they have 56" flat screens for $48 for 5am-11am the day after Thanksgiving, does it REALLY MATTER?

I have a German penpal that I would like to send some gifts to. I wanted to send her something that is specific to America or to the New England (MA, VT, NH) area, more specifically. I already sent her some maple sugar candy and local postcards of the foliage this area of the US is known for as a fall present for her. Any ideas?
