When my mother was a child they had a set of silver charms which they put in the Christmas pudding - a button, boot, horseshoe .. about 8 of them.

Are you in the US or the UK? In the US, the Hobby Lobby chain of craft stores carries an extensive line of silver charms. You can get just about anything, and they are usually 50 to 99 cents.

They are in the beading/jewelry-making dept.

Sorry I can't give you a web site but they sound like the items that were collected and attached to charm bracelets, I am pretty sure Argos sells such things but if they are actually real silver I don't know. Long answer short visit a jewelry shop. My life was so much simpler Gran and then Mum just put money (coins) in the pudding.

My guess would be Harrods on line shopping,,they sell everything,,my mum used to put silver sixpence's and shillings in our xmas pud,,
