you can never ask too much. you parent how ever should put all the money spend on your birthday into a saving account and let you enjoy it from a bank passport account.
better then a ipod any day.

Whoa do your mom and dad have a money tree in their garden, thought not, those are expensive pressies your after, stick with the mobile and iPod you have for now, go for the telly and in the new year get yourself a little part time job and save half towards the iPod and phone yourself and I am sure your parents will be proud of your and give you the other half, have a lovely Christmas and birthday, good luck.

My daughter had her 14th birthday yesterday - she says you're asking for way too much.
She got an iPod nano for her birthday, and will get an upgrade on her phone for Christmas, and at that, I think I'm spoiling her rotten. Normally I put a ceiling of €50 on a birthday present, and a bit more for Christmas.
If she asked me for the two things she's getting (she didn't ask for the iPod by the way - that was my idea), AND a plasma TV, I'd be totally disgusted with her, and would have got her none of them. That's a bit greedy, don't you think?
Try asking for ONE of the three things. You could always enter into a deal with your family to earn some money over a few months to allow you to buy them for yourself.

Ummm...yes!! I am 14 at the moment. All I am getting for Christmas is the new iPod nano - and I say 'all', to me that is quite a bit. Anything over £100 is expensive! Unless you come from an extremely rich family then yes, you are asking for too much. Don't be so greedy =P

Um, yes I have to say you are asking for too much. Most, if not all, children don't realise just how expensive it is to run a home and family. I don't want to sound patronising, but I have begun to dread Christmas and birthdays because I know just how much my children expect to spend on each of them and it's just not possible. Give your parents a break and don't let this escalate into a row of 'you don't love' me proportions. Regardless of what your parents get you, understand that they will always go beyond their means to make you happy. I hope you have a lovely Christmas and birthday and enjoy your presents, whatever they may be!

the joint total of what you are asking for is about the price of a used car. A phone without a plan runs 300, 21 inch plasma tv around 2000, and the ipod is 200. then add tax. Unless they commonly give you 1500 worth of gifts for christmas and then for your birthday, then yes, it's much.

Yes I do think you are asking too much, the phone alone cost a lot of money. Plasma tv what about a normal portable tv, with radio and cd/dvd

yes u are!.. You should be happy with what they give u and not be a spoiled brat about it unless u already are.
Some people dont get anything and your asking for the most expensive things and even more so if your parents cant afford it.
You'll realize alot more when you grow up and have to pay for stuff on your own. Trust.

Just a note - watch how much you post online of a personal nature!
Yes, these are huge presents, way too much even if your parents could afford it. If you want these things, you should get a job and work for them! :)

Your parents are gaging what you want against their purse strings ,,,, You aren't a part of managing the budget so you don't know what's available ,,,, You've given them a list of things you'd like ,,,, If you get one or even two of these things you should feel lucky and grateful ,,,, There are allot of 14 year olds that get nothing ,,,,
