Any ideas? I'm thinking in the range of $50 or less.

USC CHICK, NOT EVERYONE HAS THE LUXURY TO SIT AT HOME AND RAISE THEIR CHILDREN, SOME MOTHERS HAVE TO ACTUALLY GO OUT INTO THE REAL WORLD AND MAKE A LIVING, AND TEACH THEIR DAUGHTERS THAT THEY TOO CAN HAVE A CAREER AND A FAMILY. EVEN IF I COULD AFFORD TO STAY AT HOME, I PROBABLY WOULDNT!! SO, PLEASE KEEP YOUR OPINIONS ABOUT MY KIDS WELFARE TO YOURSELF, AND STICK TO THE QUESTION AT HAND, THANKS!

speaking from experience. A gift certif to Wal Mart of Craft Store. They often spend a lot of their own money on crafts to enterain OUR children because facilities are underfunded. If it is an individual the gift card is still a nice idea. Then she can get what she wants/needs. I always attach mine to a small gift such as lotions or perfumes just so they know some thought was put into it and they have a little something extra to open.

Wow...that's a generous amount! When my child was in daycare there were 10 teachers I had to buy for and 4 at her dance school. I purchased cookie cutters on-line(they make all kinds)...apples for the teachers, ballerinas for the dance teachers and buses for her drivers. Then, I attached ribbons and a cute personalized tag to each of them. It was inexpensive, thoughtful and something they will have forever...along with a nice thought of my daughter. Just thought of something...you could purchase some A B C's cookie cutters and give them to the teachers based on their name...whadda ya think?

Something related to relaxation and pampering! My first thought was a spa gift certificate. Check in your area for day spas and I am sure they offer gift certificates!

depeding on the age range and if the woman/man has a sense of humor.. I suggest getting special photos of your kids and her and have pictures made for him/her. Do something that would be special to show that you appreciate what she does for you.

A gift card for a book store if they read. A gift card for a CD/DVD store if they like movies/music. Do not get those cutsey things for day care providers. A gift card from any specialty store would probably be appreciated.
