Do you have any talent in the crafty areas? If so, you may want to check into what you think you can do well. There are some big box craft stores with lots of crafty ideas. The staff there may be able to help.

There is a an easy pattern for making a fleece blanket. I am including some links.

If you get really stuck and you want to do this project, you may want to go somewhere like JoAnn's or another sewing store. Ask the staff who are cutting the fabric to show you how to do it. There may be some "demos" already around.

Good luck.

My sisters and I are doing the same thing for the second year in a row. Believe it or not I have taken up knitting again. Everyone is getting a knitted scarf. The knit stich is the easiest one to do and you can get great books for beginners and there are wonderful, fun yarns out there. Have a Merry Christmas.

Last year i made several jars of 'chai tea'. You can get the recipe at allrecipes.com. It is rated 5 stars and 200+ people have rated it, so I felt safe using it and I thought it was really good and several of the people asked for the recipe and just raved about it too! This year, for my sons' teachers, I'm going to make a poppy seed bread loaf and a jar of that for each of them!
