Me and my husband put the kids to sleep and spend the night talking and setting out the toys. We exchange our gifts together without the kids so that the next day we can focus on them. It is fun and romantic at the same time. For the kids, we read the night before Christmas and let them open 1 gift, then we set out cookies and carrots to represent what saint nick use to do. our kids don't believe in Santa, but we like to incorporate him into our day as a way to remember selflessness. The next day we open gifts have a big breakfast and just hang out. We also have a birthday cake for Jesus that we eat!

me and my family decoratre the tree together and then we also help decorate the outside with lights. We later sing carols, and go walking in the snow. my moms family opened gifts from the family on cjristmas eve and the presents from santa on christmas day but my dad didnt celebrate christmas like that so we open all of out presents on christmas day. We usually have a christmas dinner that night. Usually we have alot of family over but not this year... and that will be extra special for us because we can really get to enjoy our christmas without so many people.

My parents used to: when we would have our neighbors over for Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve my mother would serve tomato juice with dinner and I lost them in '92 so and spent that night where I would have the most fun with my couzins and it seems silly to do it for just me. At times I really miss it but like I said I don't do it and have created a tradition of my own, having a thick juicy steak, baked potato and salad on Christmas Day.

Travel to visit the relatives, have a Polish Wigilia, exchange Christmas wafers and tell each family member a special Christmas blessing or tell them we love them. Hop in the car again and visit more relatives, open gifts, hug the babies. Eat drink and be Merry. Celebrate the birth of Christ.

My Mom made wonderful Christmas cookies every year. Our favorite were "Wreath Cookies." She made them from the slice and bake sugar cookie dough.
She followed the package directions, then iced the cookies to look like Christmas wreaths. She used the tube icing and used the decorating point for wreaths or leaves. When that icing dried, she added Cinnamon drops for the holy.
It was 100% sugar, but we loved them.
It's not Christmas without wreath cookies at our house. ;)

After the pageant at our Church we all head to my Aunt and Uncles house for a winter BBQ! we started doing this about five years ago, and I don't know anyone else in Nova Scotia who does this. When I tell people , they all think its a great idea though. Then we head home to bed and in the morning after tearing through our gifts we head to my grandparents house for brunch. Except for the BBQ, its all pretty traditional.

Well now that my mom moved back to New York we cant do our traditions. We use to get Chick-fil-A(fast food)chicken nugget trays. On that is has about 100 chicken nuggets. We use to eat it on Christmas eve for dinner, and for lunch we would go out. Then when we finish eating at about 10:00 me and my daughter and my 5 brother and sisters go upstairs and wait.My mom calls us down and we open up pajamas.(I am 21 and still do that.Even though I have a baby)Then we go upstairs and go to sleep until Christmas day. Then we go downstairs and open presents at about 7:00am.Merry Christmas!!!!!!!

I bake cookies with my daughter to put out for Santa. Then she get a bath and she gets to put on new PJs ( the one present she gets to open on Christmas eve). Put her to bed and put together what ever her big present "Santa" bought her this year.
