For the first time in my life, I am shopping early and will be done this weekend. Normally, I plan and make lists and never get shopping until the last minute. I think I like the frenzy at the shopping malls and the hassle at finding a decent parking space. I know that I don't get the same thrill when I am doing my shopping on the internet. No sassy clerk to ignore me as she snaps her bubble gum, hitting the wrong keys on the register because her fake nails are too long...that's what I look forward to. And the long lines - and the new cashier who can't operate the cash register and has to ask for a supervisor's help, who can't be found because she's on HER break...I'm gonna miss all that...but then, I'll be done and I can just browse through the stores and watch all the other people frantically trying to make their purchases. :)

I don't start as early as some people do but I do not wait until the very last minute either. I am not going to do my shopping until about a week or so into December but I also not going to do it all at once either. Because I will want to add to the gifts under the tree, even though I don't have very many people to buy for so I am at this point in time trying to figure out what to get one or two of them.

Hasn't even crossed my mind yet! It's only September, l'm still hoping for summer to finally get here! I love Christmas, but l don't start anything until December. I think if l started earlier l would be bored with it by the time it finally arrived. l haven't got little kids to buy for anymore so christmas shopping is a lot easier and quicker, not to mention cheaper! When they were little they would just sit with the Argos catalogue, and write down the page number and item number of everything they wanted, which normally ended up a few pages long!

I start the day after Christmas and finish the day before Christmas. That gives me Christmas day off for good behavior.

Really I do. All of my major gifts are chosen by now, but I'll go out and find last minute items and sales the last few days before Christmas. I'm a gift addict!

I usually complete most of my shopping the day after Thanksgiving and then just fill in a couple of gifts each week until I finish - always at least a week before Christmas

I start my shopping just after Halloween. I'm hoping to be finished in the next couple of weeks.

I avoid the stores the week before Christmas.

Which Christmas are you talking about?
2005? 2006? 2007?
Or to say it in Charles Dickens’ words:
Christmas past? Christmas present? Christmas yet to come?

By the way: Why shopping? Do-it-yourself is the answer!

I start my Christmas shopping early because then it will be all gone, that stuff you wanted to buy for your family, friends,etc........ And maybe some stuff won't be on sale.
