How far down do you cut when you don't want to go all the way through but you just want to show the white and make it thin enough for light to shine through? Also what is the best tool to use when carving words like a signature into a pumpkin?

Did it change your view of the holiday? I don't wish it on anyone, but it really makes you wonder why our culture embraces death and gore as something "fun"....I still can't believe my family brought candy in and wanted to put it in the casket...

This year, I've decided to pick something a bit more fun and even childish to dress up for Halloween, and that would be to dress up as Elmo from Sesame Street.

Now, being a high school senior of 17, I've been having trouble finding an Elmo costume that's my size (I've only found costumes for toddlers and such, obviously no where near my size).


If anyone could find a store that contains a listing for a larger-sized Elmo costume, I'd appreciate it.

Also, if it helps, I live in NYC, so if there is any store in this location that has it, that would be appreciated too.
