Anyone else ever spend Halloween in a funeral parlor?

Did it change your view of the holiday? I don't wish it on anyone, but it really makes you wonder why our culture embraces death and gore as something "fun"....I still can't believe my family brought candy in and wanted to put it in the casket...

I have not, but a boy my sister goes to school with actually lives in one (half of it is the house) and he is used to it, they always have to respect the dead on halloween and I dont think he was allowed to bring friends to where the dead are in his house, and I dont think they ever decorated either since they were a funeral home as well. I think they might have put out a pumpkin but I am not even sure about that.
