There is a very lovely chap in my place of work who unfortunately has very bad body odour - he is always well presented but it smells like he has never washed a shirt. We would just ignore it, but it can make you fee quite queasy if you have to be close to him for any length of time. What can we do, we desparately don't want to hurt his feelings - but is honesty the best policy?

I was at someone's house and before they ate, they said grace. Well, I'm a protestant and they are cathlic. They all said the same thing at the same time and did the cross on their chest. My religion doesn't do that so I just stood there quietly and said a quiet prayer to myself. They asked me later, "aren't you religious?" I said I was, but not cathlic and didn't do that, but then they started drilling me on my faith. I felt out of place and like I didn't belong.

Why is it that we can be perfectly cordial and pleasant to our work colleagues and work aquaintances during the day but if we meet them in the street outside of work we would rather cross the street than have to acknowledge their existence?

What I mean is, I amy be lower donw in hierarchy, and I may be meeting a CEO. Obviously he/she will give me his/her businees card as soon as they enter the room. Am I too supposed to give my card to them at the same time? What if my boss is with me and he shares his card? Then too am I supposed to give mine as well?

I have noticed that there are alot of questions on here that have to do with one or the other. Some times even including the police as well. Have I missed something in the news lately or is it an inside joke?

I had parked between two meters and put money in the one closest to my car. Turns out they checked the meter further away from the car and when I got back I had 30 mins left and a 20 dollar parking ticket. And also one for no front tag! Which was lame. But whatever. I'm moving to Florida tomorrow and this happend at a school i'm no longer attending. What would happen if they didn't get payed? What happends...hypothetically...?

I'm just curious - for those who drive and sometimes encounter emergency services (in an emergency situation - lights/sirens) vehicles...do you always give way?

I work with our local volunteer Fire and Rescue Service and find that while the majority of drivers give way...there are some that simply proceed through their own green light/intersection - or simply won't change lanes to get out of the way (making us weave) - and although sometimes its hard to do so, I think that often they just don't try.

I'm curious - if you don't give way...why? Is it because you feel it's better to be predictable and let them go around you?

Do you (try) to always give way?

Just wondering what some people do. As the bed will be remade by the domestic staff it would appear to be a waste of time, but some people like to leave a room as if it were their own. Tell me what you do and why
