then it will give a sense of competition .. if opposite gender.. oh gosh you will end up in having sex all the time ... :)

Doesn't matter as long as you respect each other and get along. If you are worried about what the family thinks of the situation, just make it clear to them what the arrangement is. I'd rather live alone though, if I could afford to!

I think it depends on what you are comfortable with.

Personaly, I prefer living with men because they are usually a lot tidier and don't take things the wrong way as much (if they do it doesn't turn into world war 3).

yes ,because if she's a girl then she can't become good freind of yours & u can't tell her all ur problem. BY the way where do u live so that u have to stay with someone.

if you're a guy, a girl who'd allow herself to room with you would probably consider herself living in with you..that's not a good scene..he probably should be the same gender..

I think it's all according to what makes you comfortable...it shouldn't matter what gender they are; or religion, or sexual orientation...just think about the person, and maybe check out their criminal background....good luck.

i think housemates are fine..

but room mates.. you have to ask yourself if you're really comfortable with the other person..
It's wierd sometimes because a girl/guy wants some space to themselves...
