Despite the many varieties of plants and flowers that I truly enjoy, if I were one, I'd be a sunflower. Why - because physically I'm tall, always reaching for the sun, and continually providing fruit (food) for the (mental and spiritual) benefit of others. How about you?

This came to me after replying to another question. Do/would you record your stories - stories about your life, especially where you were and what you did during some of the most known historical events we've lived through? Even if it doesn't seem that most of your family cares, can you imagine what a treasure you would leave behind if you would record in some manner the events of your life? Another generation will appreciate that effort. Most of my relatives are elderly and I've tried for years to get them to do this for me because I have a long-term family tree book in the works. The addition of such personal information makes for a valuable keepsake. If you haven't done this, please consider it.

I am a master of every fighting style known to man and even ones that aren't. I've fought many battles but I've yet to fight with anyone worthy enough to defeat me. I've traveled across the world and have encountered many people in my quest but I have yet to find anyone who could spar with me at my level. The fact that there is nobody out there who can do so saddens me very much. How am I supposed to get stronger when there are no more worthy opponents for me to battle? I know someone is out there who could make me feel alive again, make me feel the actual heat of battle. My martial art, Tenku Shinken, is far from complete. Only if I could find someone worthy enough to fight me, I would be able to perfect my art and hone my skills. Sadly, I am unable to. I refuse to call myself the strongest until the day I finally perfect my skill. I am getting more and more impatient by the minute as the days go by. I sometimes wonder if there is anything more I can do to become stronger. Tell me.

If there were no guns in the country, there would be few gun murders.
Two - Some guns would be smuggled into the country, but MOST criminals would not have guns. It is much harder to kill people with knives or your hands.
Three - If you have a gun, you are more likely to be killed by a gun. The criminal has to protect himself from you. The criminal will usually catch you by surprise, and your gun will not protect you.
Four - Jesus Christ would never carry a gun. Don't tell me someone wants to argue that pointl. How can Christians pretend to follow Jesus and own guns?
Five - Jesus suggested turning the other cheek, not blasting the other person with a gun.
Six - Shooting someone with a gun is cowardly. Why do Christians want to be cowards?
Seven - The second amendment was written by a human who had some fears after the war with the British. Why should we want to live in fear today? A gun is like alcohol, false courage, because the criminal shoots first!

I like some of the celebrities when they are entertaining; but, when they go off script and express their own political views they often sound so stupid. The worse part is that they have so much influence.

Just curious. It has grown so large. It started in a small town in Arkansas by a very nice man whose aim was to serve the best for less. Now it is a multibillion dollar organization that has destroyed a lot of Mom and Pop stores. Please share.

When I was a child, I had to use my imagination alot to enjoy
playing outside, or even inside. I made mud pies when it
rained and had tea parties, and played with paper dolls. I played "Annie, Annie Over" with neighbors and a ball. Or we played school, doctor, dress up, & in tree houses with a minimum of things. We didn't have many store bought
toys. Those were not necessities. So what we got for Christmas, had to be taken care of to last.
I remember later as a teenager, our dad bought a croquet
set, and that was a big deal for us to play in the backyard.
Times were changing, and soon we'd even have a colored TV.
But the 40's thru the mid 50s' were more times of struggle for many families. So I'd like to hear, how it was for just we seniors having to rely on improvising and using our imagin-
ations to have fun during those times.

I just got a call from a pleasant voiced female (recording) telling me info about "My credit card" and how to reduce the interest, blah, blah, and then I was to hit 1 on the phone.

I hung up. Seniors, this seems to be the newest scam and I warm you about it. They do not specify what credit card it is...first clue.
Second clue, reducing your interest.

Most featured clue: "Unknown caller." I answer this because some people with cell phones may be calling me. Once I learn it is a complete stranger, I hang up.

Please do not give anyone any information about any credit card of anything of that nature over the phone.

Best wishes. I had to share with you.
