Actually, I took the off ramp and decided I had gotten off at the wrong exit.

Life is good in fast forward motion. It gets boring when I don't travel that fast. Guess it's the way I was raised.

Oh my goodness, is that red lights in the rear view?

May I digress to say LOVE YOUR HAIR! I was going to have that style once but my chickens got frightened and left home because of my mid-life crisis!

However - back to your question ...................

Yes - once a upon a long time ago when I was a person with a career and not just a vivid imagination - I was that lady that you see running about in a tight skirt and high heels talking into her mobile!

Then I had an epiph . epiffinn ... eephip . then I had a moment of clarity and thought to myself ............... what am I doing? Within six months I had left my career and sold my house and bought a barn in the country!

And thereafter has been a story all of its own making!

I thoroughly recommend getting off the fast track

Yes in my 20's for a few years and again in my 30's I went through phases that I lived too hard and too fast. Now I feel blessed to have survived those turbulent times and am enjoying life at a normal pace. When it tries to get too fast for me I just don't allow it. I handle what I can and will wake up tomorrow and handle all I can for another day. But I refuse to get my self in an uproar.

Sure, there have been times. It's up to you to put on the brakes and slow down. Then look at where you've been, figure out what value there was in being there. Next look at where you're going, and figure out if there is any value in continuing. You may not have total control over your life, but you can slow down enough to take stock and figure out what's worth doing. Learn to say No more often. Me, personally, I know I'm not in control since I turned my life over to Jesus. I just listen and try my best to do what I'm asked. It all works out much better that way.

Yes. I think I just lived a year's worth in the last 4 weeks. Could someone else take the wheel for awhile?

Why would you ever want to get off the fast lane of life? Unless you are ready to die.

I agree with LadyG.
When you turn things over to what or whom ever you believe in things smooth out.
