I see the same light fixture that has been in this kitchen since we had the house built in 1954. It is supposed to look like an Early American oil lamp. I also see a straight hairline crack that goes all the way across the ceiling. The crack has been there nearly as long as the light.

Straight up, huh?
I see an off white ceiling (may have been real white when it was last painted 40 years ago). And a constellation of coffee drop stains...kind of looks like the big dipper.
I even remember when it was made...my crazy sister tried to throw her cup of scalding hot coffee into my little brother's face (he was 14 at the time) and he knocked it out of her hand before it reached a place where the stuff would have sloshed on him.
Guess I should get out my step ladder and my magic eraser, eh?

I see a 42" television showing "The 750 lb man" I'm sitting in my living room with a glass wrought iron table in front of the couch .On top of the table is a blue Alewine Pottery vase from Gatlinburg, Tennesse bought on my 30th wedding anniversary trip, my red cellphone, a chess set that we seldom play and a Bible. Ummmm, comfortable.

if i look straight up, i see my dining room ceiling. if i look a little lower and to my right, i see pictures of basset hounds (go figure !) if i look to my left, i see out of the windows where the sun is shining so nicely. if i look straight ahead and up a little, i see the shelves on my computer desk that are filled with part of my basset hound collectibles collection.

Since we are all at our computer monitors, we'd all be looking
up at the ceiling. Or do you expect someone to say they are
seeing stars from a blood pressure thing? I can't see any
other answer than 'the ceiling'.

I am on the terrace with the laptop in my lap. When I look up I see the vast blue sky with the crescent of moon gliding.A very pleasing sight indeed.

I see a lovely early American painting of a lady helping her little girl put the limbs and twigs they have gathered, in their fireplace where a meal is cooking. It's above my desk.
To my right, a telephone, to my left a calendar and picture of
my puppies.
