It could be a diet for weight management, lowering your BP (i.e., low sodium diet) or lowering cholesterol (without drug intervention), etc. What made you give up? I am started my strict chloesterol diet on Monday and the excluded foods are my down right favorites.

The poor, middle class and homeless should have equal care as those that can afford to self pay.The eldery and sick shouldn't be dumped in a nursing home and left to die.

Did they all grow up to be murderers and terrorists? My brother and counsins all played with toy guns.

I wonder what kind of message we send our little boys by telling them the toys that naturally interest them are evil and bad?

I had a son and a daughter, my son would remove the head from his sisters barbies and bend them into a "gun shape" because he didnt have toy guns - yes I let myself be influenced by the PC freaks.

Boys are genetically programmed IMO to play cops and robbers, good guys and bad guys, to play with trucks and what are considered "traditionally" boy toys. You can offer them a whole assortment of toys and these are what they want to play with - and whatever makes a lot of noise.

In retrospect I feel bad, I dont believe its healthy to give your son a message that his instincts and choices are wrong -

A second-grader's drawing of a stick figure shooting a gun earned him a one-day school suspension.

Kyle Walker, 7, was suspended last week for violating Dennis Township Primary School's zero-tolerance policy on guns, the boy's mother, Shirley McDevitt, told The Press of Atlantic City.

Kyle gave the picture to another child on the school bus, and that child's parents complained about it to school officials, McDevitt said. Her son told her the drawing was of a water gun, she said

I think the world needs a reality check. I hope the parents sue the hell outta their childs school. and the other childs parents. This is pure insanity IMO

If so, what was your reason?

When my mom went via ambulance, they were excellent in the ER, but when she was moved to ICU, we had a nurse who I believe may have been on the verge of a breakdown. If the doctor said to give 4 meds, she literally gave them to my mom all at one time! Being a senior, her system could not tolerate the meds so she had all kinds of problems. No one would listen to us. They insisted that she was diabetic when she had never been, given her insulin. It was a nightmare. I told them I wanted her dischared immediately after 3 days there. I told my mom, we're breaking out of this joint. Once at home, the meds were out of her system, she was back to normal. For the second hospital event, we had a better ICU nurse, thus better treatment. She was properly released the second time.

I just mixed up a half pound of mixed vegetables, one thinly sliced veggie hot dog, 1 can of hot chili, two tablespoons of 100,000 heat unit cayenne (chili) powder, 1 tablespoon of black pepper the remains of a bag of elbow macaroni, a bag of small shells, and two packages of top ramen noodles without their packets of flavoring stuff. Now I am about to eat some. Doesn't this sound yummy?

I do childcare for them and in return they (2) are obsessive about putting things away. They don't ask me and they don't clean. They just want to put things away. I guess they think, "Out of sight, out of mind." Their houses are immaculate and mine, well.........kids like it here. They play and have a blast. There's occasional Play-Doh on the Dining Room Ceiling, we step on Hot Wheels and Legos..........you know, normal stuff. They make them keep all those things up in the closets at their houses. I have a nice plastic tablecloth to protect my Dining Room Table. I take care of stuff too. I just don't stuff it all in a closet or on shelves w/no order.

From the time my son was born it was "look out world here I come". I swear he looked at me in the delivery room and said "tighten your seatbelt mom its gonna be a bumpy ride".

He rolled over the day he came home from the hosptial, stood up and started running when he was barely 8 months old, climbed cupboard and launched himself into space from there, hung over the side of his crib until he fell out and then scooted off exploring in the middle of the night -- I had to put a harnass on him everytime we went everywhere.

He also managed to fall into every single puddle, creek, lake, stream, fountain, swimming pool, body of water he came across. I was forever fishing him out of places - he could slip out my hand in a mini second - and splash --

He was also the smiliest, brightest little baby - he could talk in full sentences when he was 14 months old.

My daughter was the complete opposite. Very easy to care for, and well behaved. Walked on her 1st birthday, not ran.

Part Two.
And where is the cludgie? that cosy wee cell,
The string fae the cistern. I remember it well.
Where I sat wi caule, and studied the rags,
A win for the auld firm, a loss for the jags,
Where is the tramcar that once done a ton?
Doon Graet Western Road onthe old yoker run,
The conductress aye knew how to deal with the naff,If your gaun, then cumon if yir no weil
gitaff.
I think o' the days o' my tenement hame,
weve got fancy new hooses, but theyre jist no the same,
Ill swap your Gizunder, Flyovers and jams,
fur a tuppenny ride on the old Partick trams,
Gone is the Glesga that I used to know.
Big Wullie wee Shooie, the Steamie, the Co,
The shilpa weebachle, the glaikitbig dreep,
Yir ba on the slates and yir gas on the peep.
These days wurnae rosy, and money was tight,
The wages hauf finished by Setterday night,
But still we came through it and weathered the ruts.
The reason was simple our parents had GUTS.
