My daughter's cat will NOT stop using the dirt in my larger planters as her own personal toilet.

I have tried tieing plastic bags around the base of the trees, which then drapes over the top of the planter, preventing her from accessing the dirt, but she just urinates on the plastic instead.

I have tried buying that spray that is supposed to prevent cats from "going" in certain areas...the stuff makes me choke every time I use it, but it has NO discernable effect on this cat.

I have tried spraying her with a light solution of apple cider vinegar in water (which smell she despises) when I SEE her doing this, but that deterrant doesn't last beyond the next nightfall...when I am in bed, she goes and does the same thing again.

I am really getting exasperated with this cat, and am to the point where I am seriously thinking of telling my daughter to surrender her to a shelter.

Our dog Sam, An 85 pound yellow lab, likes to run.

A couple of weeks ago we were eating dinner on the front patio with Sammy tied up to the patio post. After dinner my husband and I took the dishes inside and forgot all about Sam. Two hours later my husband went outside to bring him in, only Sammy had chewed the leash in half and was nowhere to be found. It was dark out, but we scoured the neighborhood looking for him up and down every street in our neighborhood anyway. We never found him that night. The next morning we checked the city yard and there he was!

It turned out that Sam was picked up by a police car at 10:00 PM for being out past curfew and spent the night in jail! Since we live in a small town, there was no fine. Thank goodness for Mayberry!

Lulu, our little rat terrier, has a barking issue....won't stop when someone comes to the door that she doesn't know. She may be little, but her bark isn't and it drives me nuts. Her other little bad habit is that she loves to sleep under blankets and covers, so she burrows. Any bed, made or not, is like an open invitation. By the time she gets done, it looks like there's been an orgy in the room....pillows tossed, sheets mussed up, etc.! I now have to keep all bedroom doors closed, which I hate, but at least I'm not constantly remaking beds!

Every morning around 4:30 or 5 my one cat scurries around the water bed at 50 miles an hour and stops suddenly and then takes off again round and round the bed, and she's all puffed up. It's hard to sleep when she does that.

One of my cats is the sweetest fellow in the world, he's the biggest, but he is so loving and tries to get along with all the others. He even looks out for them. BUT he chews things up like he's a puppy. If I give them towels to lay on or have anything like that on the bed or laying around, he chews it in two. I do all I can to keep him from it, but maybe he takes his frustrations out this way. lol

My cat always laws at the screen door when the sliding glass door is open. And you would think he would of learned he can't go outside since he got in a fight. It can be so annoying

Smell! We have two mice and they spray constantly. We got a second tank at the Salvation Army Store yesterday, so maybe we'll be able to separate them and cut down on the stench, finally.

Barking!!! drives me nuts. I know I got the dog as a guard dog type thing to let me know if there are people about but I really dont need to know everytime a butterfly lands on a plant.

Ditto on the barking, X 2. I have a pom and a poo/chi, they are both great dogs but the least little thing outside will set them both barking! I threaten to have their vocal cords taken out, but they don't believe me lol

Barking. When I walk to my neighbors house she will sit at the front window and bark like crazy until I come home. If I drive to my neighbors house, she's fine though. She still gives me that big old smile when I get back home!
