They choose 555 for in reality, NO phone number starts with 555, there is no possibility of a lawsuit for a number being accidentally given out.
For some reason, I guess it is considered very butch to be a slob and drink from a milk carton. Try to do it without spilling milk all over the place! Good luck, Goldwing

First one, don't know, it's just a movie thing.
Second one, they do that becuase there are no real phone numbers that start with 555. If they used a real phone number, a bunch of people would start calling it and majorly tick off the person who owns the number. The person could possible sue whoever made the movie.

Yep, read about that, the phones starting with 555-. I read they started doing that because there are people who actually call numbers given in movies. My favorite on a satirical list of things you see in the movies, night is always blue.

I don't know if it is all the time because I do not see every movie but I always notice that when a character gets off the car, he does not lock the door of the car.

Just have to got this in, even tho' I'm about the last to answer. Why is it that when the main character is that of a female boomer or senior, there are no sagging boobs? If it's a scene where she's a nightgown, they always look as perky as a 19 yr. olds! No reality there!!!

the men are all perfect lovers,spend lots of time in forplay,yah right! Women always wear makeup and heels,and lovely clothes,noone walks around in cutoffs and bare feet, everyone is beautiful,both the men and women,noone except Ugly Betty,that is. I have noticed both of those.
The one thing that I have also noticed that nobody has said yet....
There is a woman that is in her house, in comes an intruder.....where does she go to get away from the intruder? UP THE STAIRS!!!
That would be the LAST place that I would go.
