Although Tony, my kitty, had several toys around the house, he soon tired of each one shortly after I bought them. Once when I was babysitting my son's cats, I noticed he had bought one of his cats an actual normal size stuffed dog. Well, I bought Tony a stuffed lion...it is very soft and sorta humorously designed. He drags this thing around by its tail...then he lays it down on its stomach and begins to knead it [it has a squeaky thing in it]...but then the worse comes....YUCK...he grabs it by the neck and begins to hump it with his mouth hanging open!!
I read on a cat site where cats who live with one person and no other pets often do this..........they 'adopt' a lover! LOL

Isn't everything they do just the cutest though! lol
I'm always talking about my cats, so I'll tell you about my dog this time. He's a rust colored chow mix we rescued and weighs about 55 lbs. He likes to sit on big logs my husband put out in his area. He sits up on them just like a person. I can also ask him where the 'kitty', 'daddy', the 'possum' (he visits us at night) or whatever is and he will look right at whoever I'm asking about and stare until he knows I've seen them.

All three understand perfectly what I say. Once, my sister came to visit and asked where they were, because they usually greet all callers with a sniff.
I went to the side porch door and said, "Girls, come inside and say 'Hello' to Aunt Carmen." By golly, they did! They all walked in, walked over to her and sniffed, and turned around and walked back out!

When the dog has to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, he will go upstairs and then come back and then comes over and put his face in mine. This is how I know he wants to go outside.

I have a cat who is pretty smart. We have a window over our bed with wooden plantation shutters. Every morning at 7am sharp, she opens those shutters with her paws. Sometimes annoying, but it is pretty cute. She will also stick her head between the shutters to see what is going on outside. She also likes to play fetch (she's pretty good at it) and knows how to sit on command (for a cat treat). ;-).

Plays ball. He likes tennis balls and he has this way of holding the ball in his paws...and with his nose he rolls it across the room. Waiting for you to toss it ,of course. Tires us out. Now my husband kind of like plays soccer with him. He can block and everything. It sounds looney but it is cute......if you look down (depressed)...first thing he does is trot up with his ball as if that's the cure all for anything that ails ya. Doesn't like other dog toys....got him a football on a rope....hates it.....unless you sing..."are you ready for some football....are you ready to party.." he'll find it and bring it to you. Also loves his trips to pet smart......he acts like it is his personal store.

I don't know about cute, but I Love the way cats will knock something over, or something like that. And just look at you like, "That didn't happen."

My corgi loves to go hiking with me, but as soon as she spies another animal she runs back & stands between my legs & softly growls at it. The day she sees a bear, she will have a hard time getting between my legs cause we both will be haulin' a**.

So many things! Our lab melts my heart when I leave the house and he sits with his head slightly tilted and his ears perked out waiting for me to throw him a doggy treat. When I come home, he is always the first to greet me, then sits again waiting for his welcome home treat. He should be giving me treats for working all day!
