Did your parents think that some of the music was real bad? My dad told me about how when Elvis went on the Ed sullivan show that they only would show him from the hips up because they did not want people to see him shaking his hips. i could only imagine what they would think of the music that the kids listen to know.

One of the comments after this video was something like, "It seems only fitting that Ringo Star was there at the making of the first music."

I like Carl's Jr, because they are soooo sexually suggestive.

I have a crush on Jack. He is such an interesting professional. One time, I took pictures of him doing different things inside of the Jack In The Box restaurant. But, the flash put a white spot on the glass cover. I just love that guy!

How do I say that I interacted with the elderly and make it sound good on my resume?

A passenger in a taxi leaned over to ask the driver a question and tapped him on the shoulder. The driver screamed, lost control of the cab, nearly hit a bus, drove up over the curb, and stopped just inches from a large plate glass window.

For a few moments everything was silent in the cab, and then the still shaking driver said, "I'm sorry but you scared the daylights out of me."

The frightened passenger apologized to the driver and said he didn't realize a mere tap on the shoulder could frighten him so much.

The driver replied, "No, no, I'm sorry, it's entirely my fault.

Today is my first day driving a cab. I've been driving a hearse for the last 25 years! "

Hope I've kept you amused, I'm now going to do some chores! Have a fun day everyone hugs x

Variation Law
If you change lines (or traffic lanes), the one you
were in will start to move faster than the one you
are in now (works every time).

Law of the Bath
When the body is fully immersed in water, the
telephone will ring.

Law of Close Encounters
The probability of meeting someone you know
increases dramatically when you are with someone you
don't want to be seen with.

Law of the Result
When you try to prove to someone that a machine
won't work, it will.

Law of Biomechanics
The severity of the itch is inversely proportional
to the reach.

Law of the Theater
At any event, the people whose seats are furthest
from the aisle arrive last.

Law of Coffee
As soon as you sit down to a cup of hot coffee, your
boss will ask you to do something which will last
until the coffee is cold.

Murphy's Law of Lockers
If there are only two people in a locker room, they
will have adjacent lockers.

Law of Rugs/Carpets
The chances of an open-faced jelly sandwich landing
face down on a floor covering are directly
correlated to the newness and cost of the
carpet/rug.

Law of Location
No matter where you go, there you are.

Law of Logical Argument
Anything is possible if you don't know what you are
talking about.

Brown's Law

I'm sharing, so please don't slap me for the lack of a valid question. Actually, "are you familiar with the laws of life" is a question. So there!

Law of Economics
The amount needed for the present emergency is
always in direct proportion to the amount you had
saved for a vacation.

Law of Mechanical Repair
After your hands become coated with grease, your
nose will begin to itch or you'll have to pee.

Law of the Workshop
Any tool, when dropped, will roll to the least
accessible corner.

Law of Probability
The probability of being watched is directly
proportional to the stupidity of your act.

Law of the Telephone
If you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy
signal .

Law of the Alibi
If you tell the boss you were late for work because
you had a flat tire, the very next morning you will
have a flat tire.

More to come...

I quit smoking in January, and though I have had times when I'd like to have one, I was quite proud of myself for not giving in.

Yesterday was a bad day, and I found myself not once, but twice, reaching in my pocketbook as I was driving. I wondered why I was doing that, and realized I was fishing around for a pack of cigarettes!

Had one been there, it would have been a completely unconscious act to light up.

How did that work for you? An exe of mine and I have been tossing around the thought of dating, seeing how it goes. We both still have feelings of love for each other, but is it enough? Is it the "right" kind of love?

The relationship we had years ago was fraught with finanical problems, kids problems, and ended in a lot of fighting and nastiness - both of us hitting out in anger I guess because our needs werent being met.

We do have a lot of common interests. Kids are grown, financial problems arent as bad as they were, in fact almost non-existent in terms of debt, smoking is no longer an issue, and we have maintained a friendship of sorts over the years.

We are much older, dont have as much angry energy when it comes to arguing, some things just seem comical now that once caused fights.

Is second time around possible? Have you tried it? Did it work out or was it a dismal failure? I am not saying I am going to give it a go, just wondering if it ever works.

I miss my grandpa so much and miss his stories that he used to tell me about his life growing up. Stories about a mean chicken that lived on his farm, how his family was poor and he had to walk to school in the snow with holey shoes, and his first girlfriend, Pearl. What I would give to hear those stories one more time!

I know that nobody could ever take the place of my grandpa but would volunteering at a senior center or "old folks home" be beneficial? There are so many questions that I wish I could ask my grandpa about the "olden days" and I love those stories that older people tell about how life was in the 20's and 30's.

Do elderly people welcome younger people as visitors---could I adopt a grandpal? btw--I'm in my mid 20's.

I remember my Elders always refering to it as tin foil.
I have refered to it as aluminum foil since I have been grown. I just didn't realize that there was a difference. You?

The first mass-produced and widely used metal foil was made from tin. Tin foil was replaced by aluminum foil in 1910.
