Can prayer ACTUALLY cure pain?
Is there such a thing as "thinking" pain away?
Do YOU have the ability to think YOUR pain away, or does your pain need to be managed by a judicious use of pain medications, mixed with prayer?
I live in constant pain & accept it, but it doesn't go away. I have just learned not to make a big deal out of it in my daily life.
But sometimes the pain gets bad and no amount of acceptance is going to make it easier to live with, so I take pain meds and I pray for relief.
Does this make me weak, or a "bad" person? There are so many "gurus" out there spouting off the wall philosophies about how we should live our lives. California seems to be bad for this. Can we believe ANYTHING they say?

Just go to Google and type in the following sentence,.exactly as it is as follows.

Just click on the name of the cookie and bam the recipe is there.

Thats it, just type in the "above" sentence, from the "Just" to the "there", and you will get receipes for 50 cookies, click on the name of the cookie and the receipe comes up. So neat.

It is a two-part series that finishes up today. They tell the story of a woman who hordes everything - now I forget if it was 75,000 pounds or 75 tons of stuff that had to be removed from her home. 15 giant dumpsters worth of stuff. It's a 3000 square foot place with no more room than a path through it. Her grown children "turned her in" to get help for her. Her husband was just overwhelmed with it all. You can see more on oprah.com.

Do you know people who live like this? Can you imagine? I feel for the families of people who can't control something of this magnitude, and give her kids credit for trying to get her some help. Today, after finishing up the story and showing more of how difficult it was to get her to let go of the stuff, they will reveal the cleaned up house.

Coffee is not allowed in rest homes unless it is decaf. Coffee is also not allowed in county jails...only chickory beverages. Medical professionals SAY coffee is bad for your joints, yet they have no prove. They also say it is bad for your heart & blood pressure, yet no proof exists. So, I pose this question...DOES caffeine cause some type of inner turmoil for seniors that puts them at odds with everyone, or just those who mix caffeine with meds (blood pressure, etc) & stress out to the point of being a health risk that puts a financial burden on insurance companies & themselves.

For me, it was "Being There," with Peter Sellers. I know a lot of people thought it was a riot, but I hated it, thought it was exploiting the less-than-bright, sheltered people, idiot savants. In fact, that's the movie that "soured" us on going to the cinema.
