Seniors are the teachers of the world. We have been everywhere and done almost everything collectively. If you want to listen and occasionally be heard, stay and learn. Two things will happen, you will have fun and learn interesting things and you will find out things long before your peers and be able to back yourself up with facts you learned here. Have fun and welcome.

Firstly this is the U.K. site Secondly I didn't go to a High School, we had an exam called the 11 plus which earned you a place in a Grammar School if you passed. If you failed you were forgotten about in a Secondary Modern School. I was a dyslexic 11 plus failure and left Secondary Modern School and was working in a coal mine when I was aged 15. There was no stopping on at school after 15 as that was the upper limit. Having said all that I believe my English, grammar, spelling and general writing syntax is as good if not better than a lot of younger people who contribute to this site.

We Are Senior Citizens, my friend!
The difference between Seniors in High School and us would be, that Seniors in High School only reign for a year. Once a person becomes a Senior Citizen it's for the rest of our lives.
We are interesting, fun and good listeners. Most of us have been through school, married, had children and grand children.
We have worked every job imaginable, and volunteered in many ways.
Our lifetime experiences are second to none.
Stay a while, you will be glad you did.

The category your question is in is Senior Citizens, so I would say that is definitely not a high school senior.

Clearly it says "Senior Citizens" on the site, IMO it would make NO sense for Yahoo to have an answer site for high school seniors, they arent that "special" a segment of the population because then there would have to be one for "College Fresh Men" "College Seniors" "Junior High School" "Phd Students" and on and on - what alarms me is the number of High School Seniors who dont seem understand what "Senior Citizens" actually means - doesnt say a lot for the educations system does it? Its frightening to think they will be in charge of our world someday.
If they walk into a store that has a sign saying "Senior Citizens discount" do they ask for it because they are a high
school senior?
There are very young people on the site who come here because they want to hang out with us, they are respectful, polite, and genuine and they, or anyone of whatever age, who fits that description is more than welcome.
Wickwire and others are still "younguns" compared to a lot of others here, some of us are 50 something and many wonderful members are in their 70's and 80's- I believe we have one who is pushing 90 so we have a wide range. BUT it is an answers site for "Senior Citizens"

It depends on how long it takes you to get through high school.
The term 'senior citizens' refer to people who are retired or approaching retirement age.

Bloody Hell (English expression of frustration)
Have I been talking to a bunch of old geezers for the last few months? I will have to rethink my strategy now and tone up my grab a granny technique.
