I just had to watch this the other evening while hubby was busy w/paper work. He gets tired of the old movies but this is one I never tire of watching. Raymond Burr was so sinister. One of Hitchcocks best IMO.

Absolutely, and Thelma Ritter and that guy with the almost-clear blue eyes... Hitchcock-the-Master, with this I think even better than The Birds. Course you could never go wrong, whatever Jimmy Stewart made.

I really like Hitchcock, but Rear Window wasn't one of my favorites. My reasons are personal---I got really grossed out by the idea of chopping up someone's body, lol. Also, I was so used to seeing Raymond Burr as the good guy (Perry Mason!) that it was hard for me to adjust to him being the bad guy. He did a good job though---very sinister.

Hehe, I just realized that this was posted in the Senior Citizens section. I'm sixteen. Actually, it's quite funny....I can talk about movies and music much better with my grandparents and their friends than I can with my own peers. I love old movies and I love music from the 40s.

I liked "Rope" and "To Catch a Thief" a lot, too. "Psycho" didn't do much for me, because I knew the whole story before I saw it....I can only imagine how frightening it was when it first came out, though!

darkish celeb (1974) I comprehend that it really is pre-1980 yet, when you're searching for "strange"... p.s. Horror and Sci-Fi can not extremely exist, mutually. once you deliver the supernatural into it, that's no longer sci-fi. the unique "Alien" is SciFi-Horror. it really is really only a Nineteen Fifties-kind haunted abode tale as a lot as date and set in outer area with out the supernatural element. something of the "Alien" sequence is largely in basic terms SciFi-action with any Horror being purged out of it by ability of the demonstrate of the monster interior the unique. I actual can not imagine of yet another movie that tries to combine both kind's that would not contain some supernatural factors - at which factor the SciFi section is largely negated. .

its a good movie, but not in my top 30. I just watched it again after not seeing it for several yrs, and as I said it was good, but for suspensful movies I think Gaslight was great. If you talk about Hitchcock,I thought The Birds, Vertigo and Psycho were better, sorry.

Very good movie... 4 stars! I also thing Vertigo is up there. It freaked me out. You can't beat Alfred Hitchcock. He was the king of twisted movies.

One of their best! You can't beat Hitchcock, Stewart, and Kelly. I don't remember who wrote it, but I hope he/she got an Oscar.

I love that movie. I didn't like the part where the little doggy had to be poisoned because he was digging and could point to the evidence.

It was a good movie. Didn't Johnny Depp do a remake of the original?
