And take the Seniors on this site, trying not to leave anyone out, and CAST them in a role in THE COMEDY you choose, that you think fits their character.

The Golden Girls
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088526/
I would cast:
Dorothy ------ Isatope
Rose ------ Gladys
Blanche ------ Barbara B
Sophie ------ Granny

This is a link to "The Nanny" Old but loved it.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106080/
My Cast Pick
Fran(The Nanny) ________ Mountaingal
Charles Shaunessy ________ Wickwire
Niles the Butler ________ Wally
Of course Wickwire and Wally would have to learn English Accents.
Now go choose your own or these and cast them. Easy!

I take care of my 76 year old grandmother. She is recovering from cancer and has Alzheimer's. Though I am her primary caretaker, my uncle has POA. I am now pregnant, working, and live in a cold climate - I'm afraid I can't take care of my grandma properly through the winter. Recently, I took her to the eye doctor and she was given 2 eye drop Rxs, to be taken 3 times a day. I told my uncle I could not be there 3 times every day, so his solution was to just not give her the drops at all!

Recently, someone suggested I contact a council for the aged and they will take over care (take over SS, pensions, sell my Grandma's house and place her in a home). I feel a nursing home could be good for her - at least she will get her meds and be clean (she is taller than me and gets violent when I bathe her).

Is anyone familiar with councils for the aged? Has anyone had a similar ordeal? Any stories/advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

Ok, what would you change about Yahoo Seniors (or Answers as a whole.)? Somebody just may be reading this besides us, and pay attention. (How many violations can I get on here before they kick me off?)

My 4 y/o has a very simple food taste. So I tend to stick to simple food myself. Although being invited to friends or family homes for dinner is a big treat.

Do you enjoy cooking or is it a hassle for you?

Most of the country is either out partying
or in bed, so I figure I can let it all hang
out and say what I want now.
Since Seniors is getting kinda boring,
I guess I will spice and dice it up a bit.
So what you all say to a cruise to the
Bahamas? Or Mazatlan? I still have some space on my cc. Please tell me
where we all want to go. People are
always telling me where to go, but I
mean on a sea voyage???

It's heart wrenching, went to one today. A friend of ours daughter (mother of 3 teens) was killed in Iraq Nov. 5. I can't tell you how angry I am at the Pres. and how selfishly fortunate I feel my son came back alive.

When they performed the 21 gun salute and played taps I had to hum a song to myself in my head so I wouldn't break down...so awful.

So...if you have been...your thoughts on a military honor funeral?

THREE LITTLE FISHES (Fwee Widdo Fiddies)

Down in the meadow in a little bitty pool,
Swam three little fishies and the mama fishy, too.
"Swim!" said the mama fishy, "Swim if you can!"
And they swam and they swam right over the dam.

cho: Boop boop dittum dattum wattum, shoo
Boop boop dittum dattum wattum, shoo
Boop boop dittum dattum wattum, shoo
And they swam and they swam all over the dam.

"Stop!" said the mama fishy, "You'll get lost!"
But the three little fishies didn't want to be bossed,
So the three little fishies went out on a spree
And they swam and they swam right out to the sea.

chorus

"Whee!" said the little fishies, "This is fun!
Let's swim and swim 'til the day is done1"
So they swam and they swam, and it was a lark.
Then, all of a sudden, they saw a shark.

chorus

"Help!"cried the little fishies, "Look at all the whales!"
And the three little fishies, they turned onR their tails.
And back to the pool in the meadow

think it was recorded by Phil Harris. was about a mounteneer who felt so mighty brave he took his trusty gun and went into a dark dark cave. the reason for his venture was a story that he'd heard about a bad ferocius creature called the jabberwocky bird.
there were several different verses and in the end the ugly jabberwocky became the prettiest of girls. would like to find trhe lyrics and it was recorded on a 78 rpm record.

It's not long until our 40th wedding anniversary and I've been thinking about how to celebrate. We really are not party people but have children, grandchildren and friends who might be interested in a get-together of some sort. I've also thought about a special vacation with just me and my husband. Our anniversary is in April. What are your thoughts on this subject?

One summer evening during a violent thunderstorm
a mother was tucking her son into bed.

She was about to turn off the light when he asked with a tremor in his voice, "Mommy, will you sleep with me tonight?"

The mother smiled and gave him a reassuring hug.
"I can't dear," she said. "I have to sleep in Daddy's room"

A long silence was broken at last by his shaky little voice:

"The big sissy"
