The various other cities offer attractive options. Chennai, and Delhi offer better air & train connections. Poona & Goa offer better climate.
Bangalore is expensive, congested and Political mess.

Chennai is the paradise for pensioners. Many hospitals Govt and private, entertainment , BEACH to go for walks. less crime than Bangalore for elders. In Bangalore it is a little difficult sometimes for Tamil people., but in Chenna all language people live peacefully and happily. It is the big thing I think.

My two sons who are computer software engineers tell me that Bangalore has become the "San Jose of India". The heart of its "Silicon Valley". So, I would think it has become a tad expensive compared to years past.
