For me, it was "Being There," with Peter Sellers. I know a lot of people thought it was a riot, but I hated it, thought it was exploiting the less-than-bright, sheltered people, idiot savants. In fact, that's the movie that "soured" us on going to the cinema.

Dracula 3000.
The absolute worst ever.
Much too awful to even be funny.
Cringe factor of a million.
Bad, as in embarrassing, slow, cheesy, pathetic.
I feel bad that this movie was made on the same planet where I live.
I'd like to take my wasted time out on the director personally.
I could have done a better job in my backyard with a camcorder.
If there was a God, this movie would not exist.
After seeing this, I have to say that there are staggering depths to which even Uwe Boll is a stranger.
I want to rip my own eyeballs out, just to make sure I'll never EVER see another film like this.
This movie has ruined my life.
The vampire isn't even named Dracula.
The set is ridiculous for the period.
The dialog is atrocious.
The timing of each scene is ludicrous.
The acting is beyond abysmal.
Everything stinks.
I demand an apology!
Dracula 3000 is by far the most uninspired, lame and poorly done piece of trash I have had the misfortune to see.
DON'T WATCH IT!!
You'll be soooo sorry you did.

There have been so many bad films over the years that it's
hard to pick only one. But the first one that came to mind, I'll
go with. And that was "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" from
the early 50's. It was a black and white movie. There were
many of this same genre made back then. I think they were
made for the teenage driving set who liked to go to drive in's
with their dates, and didn't watch the movie. So producers
must have made it with that in mind. And still they made money off of it. Because teens had to pay to get in anyway,
and they didn't really care what was up on the screen. Or
so the producers must have felt. Because man, some of
those films were pretty awful LOL.

The all time worst movie I have ever seen was called "Open Water" filmed in 2003, based on the true story of two scuba divers accidentally stranded in shark infested waters after their tour boat left.
I thought since is was based on a true story that it would be good, but I could not have been more wrong.

Dementia 13, a black-and-white British horror movie. About 30 years ago when our husbands were traveling, my friend and I piled our kids together into a spend the night party and made it a weeked. We decided since we never watched horror movies, we should, for the silliness of it. We couldn't have chosen a worse movie. We turned it off about 30 minutes into it, and went to bed. I had nightmares and made noises that not only woke me up, but her too. It was hilarious.

I can understand all the answers given, so far, but I have to say that the absolute worst movie I ever saw, and this was under duress, was "Texas Chain Saw Massacre".

I can't stand these kinds of movies. They make you want to bring everything back up that you've eaten for the last two days. Nasty movies.

there have been so many! I'd say The Great Gatsby from the 1970s was the most boring I have ever seen. I had to sit through it for a school class.

In defence of "Being There" isn't the whole point that Chance reflects the people around him, not that he himself is mildly retarded? Chance ends up running for president, so I can't really see him as a victim. I won't pick on low budget movies. When it comes to "big" movies that are crap, "Outbreak" takes the cake IMHO. I was cheering for the virus by the end of it.
