What do you think of the saying, "God invented whiskey to keep the Irish from conquering the world?"

Why do you think this would be true? Why do you think this would be false?

(I'm not saying that God himself actually came to deliver whiskey to the Irish, this is not a religious question. Being of Irish background, I just want to get an impression of Irish stereotypes.)

I wonder if members of the Nation of Islam become sick to their stomach everytime they realize that they have to speak English (a white mans language) in order to communicate with their brothers. What do you think? Should they abandon English in favor of the Space langauge of their forefathers?

what are the reasons why they would think that way? because i am white? my family was poor too, and i come from hippie parents who i think are worse than most because they didnt offer structure, religion, stability and they smoked pot all the time.

I'll admit that economic need wouldn't be very practical for jobs, but it would work perfectly for school. When I say affirmitive action, I mean government-imposed minimums on the percentage of minorites required at an institution.

Before anyone calls me racist, let me give an example. The numbers are obviously skewed, but its just an example, so bear with me.

So you've got a college. The college can accept 1000 of its applicants. 1350 people apply. Among them are 1200 white people, and 150 minorites. Lets say the minority quota is 10%. Out of the applicants, 1000 white people and 90 minorites qualify for admission. That would mean that the school should only accept those 90 minorites who qualified, right? Nope. Law says there has to be at least 10%, which is 100 people. So the school has to lower its standards to allow more minorites. The minorites aren't stupid, there are just fewer applying. Is that fair to those - minority and white- who made it on their own?

Okay, so i have this friend and she is black, and she has blue eyes. I asked her if it was natural, and she said yes. But isnt blue eyes a caucasion trait? And neither of her parents are white, so she's not mixed, so how does she have natural blue eyes? Could this be a natural trait in black people, or do you think shes wearing contacts? Lol, i have no clue.

Here's a thought: At least you get the choice. A king who doesn't want to be king can surely relinquish his crown, but a peasant who doesn't want to be a peasant has a much harder time of changing his stars.

If celebrities were really bothered by their complete lack of a private life, all they have to do is get the hell out of the limelight. Common people don't have the choice to have such a luxurious life, they don't even get to decide whether that is what they'd like or not.

i want to clarify that living a luxurios life, we waste a lot of our time in just making money for our ease.Inspite of the fact that we have sufficient resources already. We must spend our time in some other social activities and helping others so that a health environment can be developed.Wat do u say?

I really really really hope this doesnt come out sounding rude but im just wondering. Why does it always seem like mexicans are always the ones getting arrested by police, and why does it seem like they always causing trouble? Maybe its just the ones who came into the states illegally? And how come they always seem so stand-off ish to other races? I'm just wondering....im sorry if that came out bad.

Hello, I have been all over Europe, and my favorite place has been England. I was only there for 3 days, and I was as sick as a dog. Despite that, I still had a good time being all alone and wandering the streets.

Anyway, I found the English to be eccentric. But I am american.
