Go with Hispanic. Being a minority gives you a leg up in the job market, in applying to colleges, applying for loans, grants, ect.. there are all kinds of government programs you can take advantage of if you go with the minority.

The great thing about ethnicity is it is subjective. Pick whatever feels right to you. If you speak Spanish at home, and are heavily into the Hispanic side of your roots, then you may want to pick Hispanic. If you are Hispanic pretty much in name only, pick Caucasian.

I am mixed, and I stopped picking Caucasian about 5 years ago. I just pick mixed now, as I think it's more accurate for how I feel about myself.

just pick white. I don't know why there is a seperate term for Hispanics -- sure, a lot of us have Native and African admixture, but fundamentally, most "Hispanics" belong the Caucasoid racial type (it's kind of like Middle Easterners, Americans don't view them as white, but they basically are).
When I traveled to the Middle East a few years ago, the locals saw me as a white Westerner.
If you travel overseas, Latin American culture is viewed as Western, and is also considered an "extension" of the Mediterranean (the samy way USA is more or less seen as an "extension" of Great Britain).

If your looks favor one or the other, choose that one. But then I think of friends that are truly looking white but one parent came from a 3rd world country. I see how difficult it is. Your culture is probably very mixed, like Spanish at home, English at school or business. You might consider where the form came from. Others have pointed out the available answers and depending upon the form that is your answer.

Usually, hispanics are considered white. I'm surprised there is no "mixed" box. For census purposes, hispanics are white. And then they usually provide a separate category for "whites who are NOT hispanic."

I always check "Do not Wish to Answer" as I don't think race is relevant or if there is a box marked Other with a blank I usually check it and put "Human"
