True, but the thing is that you really can't comprehend the prejudice that blacks and hispanics experience, not really. You might know it exists, you might even see it in action, but you can't FEEL it the way that they do. Being white, I can only imagine how my black and hispanic friends are impacted by prejudice, and what it's done to their perception of the world.

All i can say to you is What do your friends mean by Easy? surely if they are your friends they will accept you for whom you are, i don't think it's because you come from a poor family with no religion ETC. You are who you are you do not have to prove any thing to any one ' it will destroy you. All i can say to you is to make the best of your life and do your best for you do not go around trying to please others. Also i would like to add your parents may have a different way of living ' but surely they loved you and did they best. You have the choice to be successful and as long as you are a good person that's all that mater's . Stop worrying just be your self . You will get there in the end and i am sure you will then see who your true friends are OK

Now he would desire to to pass to the Dr. as quickly as a month to have fluid drained from his spinal twine. no person will hire him even nevertheless he's prepared to sign a workman's comp waiver so as to artwork. coverage firms won't insure him. he's compelled to be on social protection and not even getting sufficient to assist his family participants much less pay his loan. He might lots extremely be working. This state is a 'no fault' state and the guy who hit him and the save have been given a $40 5 wonderful from a decide who pronounced there became no longer something he ought to do.

That's the payback for what white people have done to anything brown or black. If white people landed on my homeland (bringing people from Africa and making them slaves), and just decided to take over, killing my kind by purposely poisoning our blankets with the nasty European diseases that my pure people were not immune to (yet calling us savages), and the list goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on...yeah well, I don't need to keep going with that. Face it, a lot of white people will never, ever look at other races the same, ever. It has been like that for a long time, and probably will be. You will never relate to how they feel, because your ancestors didn't go through what theirs did, so don't push the issue.

wow. well, ppl, not just 'whites', all have the potential to stereotype, use racial thinking (even if subconciously) and so much more in that area.... surely, when all irrelevant matters are stripped away, you are equals - at least id like to think so and i bet im not the only one. im sorry to hear that they feel that way, perhaps you could empathize in some way and also bear in mind for yourself that ppl = ppl (as u say, u r equals) regardless of what other input you get. thanks for not being another ignorant american in that area =D

Yeah, they think that because you're white. It dosen't matter if you actually do have it easier or not, people are just going to assume that. Not that they don't have the United ***** College Fund, the NAACP, Affirmitive Action, and all sorts of grants and loans directed entirely at minorites. Nahhh.. just tons of orginizations that directly discriminate agianst you, the white person. Its easier for a minority millionare to get college scholarships then a dirt poor white person, and its based entirely on color. (Name one charitible orginization that excludes minories. There are none. The KKK does not count as a chariable organization. They can exclude you, but not vice versa. "Equal", right?) Not to mention incredible power over you. If one of them desided to call you racist, you'd have as much chance of defending yourself as a cheerleader who called a football player a rapist. You're automatically wrong, and there is no way to win. You'd be outcast, hated, discriminated agianst, and most likely, thrown out of school. Its like the Red Scare, with people calling each other communist, but no one but white people have to worry about it. Welcome to the real world, everyone hates you for being white. Sucks, dosen't it?

Edit:
Dear idiot below me who quotes history to prove her point. Open your eyes. Do you see Jews damanding reparation from Germans? (And that was intentional genocide, not slavery, tutz) What about the Japanese americans who were put into concentration camps during WW2? Whens the last time you heard someone causing a fuss about that? That was a helluva lot more recent then slavery or early settlement of America. How about every minority that has ever entered the country that has been discriminated agianst? And I mean minority as in the Irish during the famine, the italians, the germans, along with asians, blacks, latinos, ect. Where is my law protecting me from NINA signs? (No Irish Need Apply, for those who failed history) I don't have one, and I won't get one.

And one more thing. You haven't suffered those things. Don't try to pretend this is personal, like all those horrible things happened to YOU. No one in our generation has seen any of this. Where do people think they get the right to yell at me about stuff neither one of us was alive for? Your ancestors may've been there, but you weren't. And guess what? Mine weren't here. Mine were still happily in Ireland. Are you going to go over there and call them all racist too? Just for being paler then you? Everything that ever went wrong in the world was caused by white people right? Listen to yourself talk. Get over yourself, you're as racist as any KKK member. I did nothing to you, so why am I paying for it? How can you possibly justify me owning you anything? I don't, and you can't. Its that simple. I don't owe anything to anyone for something I wasn't alive for, regardless of color. I refuse to pay for others mistakes just because they happen to be the same color as me. Stop using racism to make yourself feel persecuted and special. Go out and prove that you're above it instead of whining about things you learned in history class, the same way everyone in our generation did.

You are blind(or you are acting blind) to the fact that your skin color gives you a leg up in American society..it's unfortunate..but true. It's actually insensitive to them for you to argue with them about it...since you really wouldn't know. It's also wrong for them to try to make you feel guilty about it...noone picks what ethnicity they're gonna be born into....

Guilt is a tool people use to empower themselves at your expense. Don't allow them to do it. We define ourselves by what we do not our appearance.

People who say white people have it so easy are actually enforcing racial stereotypes, which is racism.

Rise above it. You obviously know the truth already.
