Do you admire people who flaunt their wealth (flashy celebutantes and Hollywood gliteratti) more than people who help our society while earning low or no pay (teachers, volunteers)? According to what I heard on the news, the rich are getting richer while the poor getting poorer (the middle class is quickly joining the ranks of the working poor). Has anyone else noticed how the rich are gettting more flashy with their wealth ala Celebutante Paris Hilton and the Hollywood Gliteratti? A lot of Hip Hop imagery in videos also glorifies "bling bling". Do you think TV shows and networks that glorify wealth over substance are OK viewing for kids (Entertainment Tonight)? Are you more impressed by the rich person driving a Bentley than the schoolteacher down the street? Would you rather have affordable health care for all or would you rather support a system that only benefits the wealthy? Is it OK to limit kids' career aspirations to becoming singers and basketball players?

hi! I am Italian and i was born in Rome. I wanted to know, because people of other country don't like Italians! Perhaps certainly are not, really we, like calm people to laugh, joke, take around, perhaps also too much, but not for this have to deserve us ugly receptions when go to the foreign countries!! Are treated with discrimination in comparison to the other tourists, for example German that am the exact opposite of us!!

i agree with the concept that we are all fundamentally the same, but there are big differences among racial societies and cultures. is it just the fear of being labeled a racist that holds people back? i have lots of friends that arent the same race as me and making fun of each other is one of our favorite ways to tease. the same with asking questions about a race that you have not had any or limited contact with? why does wondering what black people's hair feels like if you have never felt it make you a bad person? whats wrong with just asking?

Further to my question yesterday when I asked if anyone hated CLUB cyclists more than me?.
Thanks to some of you for reminding me that not all are the road hogging morons that seem to be prevalent in my area. I wish to state that, I have utter respect for the normal law abiding cyclist and give this type of cyclist as much room as possible when I drive past.
This is because..... THEY DO NOT TAKE UP THE WHOLE F***ING ROAD!!! I am also a motorcyclist and even travelling with friends ....I do not hold anyone up.....ever!.
So why can't these suicidal CLUB cyclists ride in smaller groups or single file and get some respect??!. I apologise to any genuine law abiding club cyclist, but, I think even you would have to admit that the type that I described are prevalent in your area as well.
Because of these morons, I am increasingly getting closer and closer to just closing my eyes and going for the non-existant gap and sod the consequences!!
I will only hate myself later.

I recently posted this question & really appreciate all answers rec'd, particularly from funeral directors. I think I need be a little more specific though. I received 2 portions of my partner's ashes. I have good reason to believe one is false. As I was only due one portion, the other came from his mother, too complicated to go into! But each portion is a completely different colour. Supposedly the same ashes? One (which I believe is not ashes) is a light sort of greyish brownish colour, the other (which I believe is correct) is a darker grey. They both smell different too. I just wish to know which to scatter... as I know I should only have one portion. Does anyone know if I can have the authenticity of ashes tested? I just wish to have my mind put at ease. Thank you all.

I am an artist and I want to do a series of pieces of paintings with each featuring one nostalgic item that is interesting looking. Ideas I have are things like an old fan, a drum shade lamp, an old close and play record player....etc. Can you think of other things that are from the past (40's maybe) and interesting looking? The video was released and the guys are being charged. Do you think the kids' mother is liable for any charges? It didn't look like this was the first time this happened. Too me, it's one thing if a grown adult CHOOSES to smoke pot. But these were kids...not even kids babies. They can't make a choice. I think it is sick. Just plain pathetic.
I for one am glad CPS took the kids and I hope that is where they will stay!

I think there are so many double standards regarding racism now that its getting stupid. I hate the way that white people always seem to be considered racist when black people never seem to! Say a black person punches a white person. Its a punch. A white person punches a black person and its a racist attack. I find the word honkey a funny work, but its supposedly racist against white people. Just because I dont percieve it to be a racist word why should that mean black people get to say it constantly with nothing said! I think there is way too much prejudice on race but I think the whole race card has gone on way too long. We cant just be a community where everyone are equal eh.
