Quit stereotyping us. Our government doesn't represent all of us (or even most of us these days). I certainly wish my government would stop meddling in other countries' affairs and focus its money and attention on the problems in our own country.

Personally, I don't know what you are talking about. I DON'T think that most hard-working Americans believe that they can buy or destroy any country in world, nor do we want to.

I think that you may think you've run into that type personality, but I dare say, that "personality" is all over the globe, not just in America.

Take a closer look at "real" people.

It's pathetic people like the dude above me who give Americans a bad reputation. In addition to what our political leaders do...it's no wonder we are hated. I don't blame them!!
Our leaders think they can go and invade any ol' country they wish, and control them! It's about time we stay the heck out of countries and leave people alone to deal with their own crap. We have enough issues here in the States!

Actually its not teh people, its the leaders, the leaders that don't listen to their people.

I am so tired of being told how evil Americans are that I would rather we just close the boarders and say "bye-bye," to the world's issues.

But we won't, the leaders of the US can't fix domestic issues so they focus on foreign issues and that means blowing stuff up and killing people.

A superiority complex that's been in the making since the end of the French and Indian War.

I think it's damned good thinking.
I assume from your writing that you're a foreigner, and not completely fluent in English. I'd suggest that you thank the USA every day for not overrunning your little corner of the world and using it as a nuclear testing range.

You may be on to something here. We are increasingly not known for our 'good mental thinking'.
