hi! I am Italian and i was born in Rome. I wanted to know, because people of other country don't like Italians! Perhaps certainly are not, really we, like calm people to laugh, joke, take around, perhaps also too much, but not for this have to deserve us ugly receptions when go to the foreign countries!! Are treated with discrimination in comparison to the other tourists, for example German that am the exact opposite of us!!
Ciaoooo!!!

Can't help you. I was not aware you were treated with discrimination in comparison to other tourists.

I love Italians...I love Italy--both the country and city are breathtaking! I am obsessed with Gucci...my favorite dish is gnocchi in marinara sauce. And in what other country can you get huge ice-cream cones (gelatto) on almost every street corner?

Plus, Italians, in my experience, are some of the warmest, most jovial people I've ever met. Not to mention, the only people I trust to tailor my suits!

You are A-okay in my book!

I do not understand why you believe that Italians are not liked by other nationalities. I know of no one who dislikes Italians. I love Italy I have been there several times and am now learning the language. In England do to the history ot Europe the French and the Germans are far more disliked than the Italians.

I dated a girl once whose parents were Italian. I can't speak for everybody (especially those who have a racist point of view towards Italians), but I found her to be just as good and maybe even better than the girlfriends I had previously (at the time). I don't think there really should be a racial generalization towards Italians, or indeed towards anyone with different backgrounds than our own.

I've always liked Italians, generally, despite the fact that some of them (not many!) were not so nice ... I've been to Italy twice and really enjoyed it both times, and I will definitely go back there. The Italians I met there were perfectly nice people.

I am Italian as well. I wasn't lucky enough to be born in Italia, but my Grandparents came to the USA from Roma. I love Italians, my people are beautiful and passionate!!
There are ignorant people everywhere. I'm sure the idiots who hate Italians don't even have a good reason why...maybe jealousy??? Who knows....but one thing is for sure....Italia is the most beautiful country I have ever been to! Forza Italia!

I LOVE Italians, I went to Rome for the first time as an adult 3 years ago, and I wondered why I never went there earlier. I was there on new year's eve and everyone was singing on the metro and joking and laughing. I met some really great people. I want to take my wife and go back there again SOON! And when I meet Italains in my city (San Francisco, USA), I try to make them feel very welcome. :)

I'm American and I love Italians. I wasn't aware people from other countries didn't like you. There are many here and I get along great with them. Some people think I'm Italian and it wouldn't bother me if I was. Who cares what other people think. Their opinions shouldnt mean anything. Think about those who don't like Americans.....LOL

I think it is because of the images T.V shows and movies put out. In these mob movies, the Italians are almost always shown as the bad guys in town.

I don't know but I like any one from any culture, country, race and it does not matter as long as they are kind hearted, good and honest people.

I don't like people who judge each other just because they come from a different culture or country.

I believe that we are all equal no matter what colour we are. I have no problems with Italians and have friends from different countries.

If people don't like Italians then its their loss, just ignore them!
