I grew up in the heart of "Dixie" and racial tension, South Carolina. I've been called a lot of things that made me have disdain for white people when I was younger, because I didn't understand the hatred, because I always associated with everyone. My best friend was white (R.I.P. Scott Riley) and he was my brother. I enlisted in the military and I noticed that their was a racist culture brewing within the service, that really made me angry, because I'm not fighting for blacks, I'm fighting for everybody, and I can't even get treated the same here? Not all the white people I've encountered have been this way, but It just doesn't seem like there are enough people out there who just see the quality of the individual and not the color of their skin. All this arguing back and forth between races just makes me sick to my stomach. It's pointless, we're all brothers. Is there any colorblind people out there that feel how I feel?
