Am i wrong to be offended when i ask Americains where they are from and when they tell me "im from ______ but im irish cause my great great great grandfathers wifes sisters husband was born there" it seems to me that most (not all ) of the americains i met want to be irish .

I am not irish so no need for abuse just curious

i ask because i worked on the ships for a long time and had allot of U.S citizens as our customers.

It seems that all male homosexuals have a distictive sound in their voice. Why, if all they want is to be treated as individuals? And why Gay Pride Marchs, why all of the glam and show if they want to be accepted as individuals and not be judged for their preferrences?

I dont like the nat front or the bnp.. they are haters. However I would like to live in a society that discourages wild imigration and the two rule (one for you and the other for them) system.
I am not racist but I am patriotic. If I moved to pakistan I would be expected to live the same as the pakistanis. Yet when they come here, WE have to let them live however they want, WE cant say anything about it because thats being racist.
I recently drove through a predominently paki area and I would not even get out of the car. I felt threatened. This is the country that my grandparents fought for and MY government is just letting the lowest common denominator wreck it.
I want to stand up for my country and I need a political party to join..

Why, although the creation and bias of race began around the same time and for the same reasons, is there less of a known/seen/admitted racism against Natives than any other group in todays societies particular African Americans for the reasoning of those being the first other American groups discriminated against unjustly.

Thought I'd try asking once more to see if I can get any different opinions on the question.

I was reading some questions yesterday and they made it seem like Latinos despise Blacks. Do they not know the history of Blacks and Latinos or they wish we despised each other? I mean look at countries like Venezuela, Cuba, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico where you have so many Afro-Latinos.

So, I've been thinking of a way to use this Q&A to break stereotypes because I read SO many of them on here.
I am thinking that everyday I will post a new stereotype and see how many people are suprised to read that it is not true.

Here's the third one:

Stereotype: Native people commonly practiced scalping. Europeans picked it up in retaliation to Native practices.

Truth: The reverse is true. Native people learned scalping from colonizers and picked it up in response to colonizers land theft, rape, and torture.

Some History:
This is one the most abundant stereotypes. In fact if you search for information on scalping it is unlikely you will find accurate information. There are two reasons this false information is so widespread.
1: It is a brutal act. No one wants to believe that it originated from the oh - so civilized colonizers. That would mean it is in their own history for several people.

It has nothing to do with me being racist.I just don't find fair at all,that we have to live in our countries and being scrutinized by security and police,because muslim terrorist decide to come and destroy our western countries.
Why don't they keep their hate in their own country?Why do they move to live in our countries,when they don't like our western cultures?Why is it that don't accept any sort of criticism?It is beyond me........hate somebody and yet decide to go and live next to them.
All I want is for my chlildren to live in peace,just like it used to be years ago........before all those terrorist activities started.

I am black and Brazilian. I have curly hair and green eyes. I notice that a lot of darker complected black girls tend to cut their eyes at me and say things like "half breed" and "piss-colored". I don't like it, but I'm not gonna cry about it. I guess I just want to know why this happens? Is it envy?

I just wonder, do they have a huge ego to think that? I do understand that there are Latin American girls who are really desperate to get out from their countries and do that, but they are not all. To think in that way without knowing a person is just to have a prejudice. It would be like saying... almost all Dutches like to get high and almost all Germans are Nazi.
