hi, im really confused about what race i am considered. both of my parents are christian egyptians who were born in egypt and their ancestors were born there too. i have olive colored skin. i have thick lips and black african hair. however, i have blue eyes and a narrow nose like a white person would have. i was told to just check off white but i do not believe i am white because you can easily see the differences between me and a typical white person. i also do not believe im white because most white peoples' skin is too fair to resist the strong sun and heat of egypt itherefore my ancestors couldn't have been white..

So, I've been thinking of a way to use this Q&A to break stereotypes because I read SO many of them on here.
I am thinking that everyday I will post a new stereotype and see how many people are suprised to read that it is not true.

Myth: a pow-wow is a gathering
Commonly used: "let's have a pow-wow and discuss it"

Truth: A Pow-wow is a cultural event in which Native people carry on their tradition and share themselves with others. At a Pow-wow some people dress in traditional regelia and dance, some people sit on a drum and sing, and some people simply observe. Everyone eats and has fun! A Pow-wow is an alcohol and drug free event and is very respected within and outside of the Native community.

I went to the Rodeo this weekend in Houston, TX and all white people sponsor each other and have all western attire and laughing and having a good time and they have their private party tents but the few black people that were there looked out of place, why blacks can't stick together and do things the civilized way like whites?

I am doing a school project in which I am comparing the degree of permitted public displays of affection (like holding hands, kissing, hugging, etc.) and the demographics of sexual intercourse (average age of first time, rate of pregnancy, etc.) Can you help me find reliable sources on this information? I don't even know where to begin looking.

It would also be helpful if I could also find a more quantitative measurement for the first comparison value, so instead of degree of permitted public displays of affection, I could use "percentage of under-18s that have talked about sex with their parents" or something like that.

We hve to write a 5 paragraph persuasive essay. My thesis is Racism shouldn't be tolerated, and acts due to racism should be illegal.Now I need 3 supportive topcs to explain why acts should be illegal.Right now I have 3, but I think I can get better oones. People seem to be very naive when it comes to jewish people, even the common white peolpe are fooled. All these wrong choices made in the government to destroy America like( poison the vaccines etc.) are made by rich Jewish people. All this going on, people still hate on blacks. Oh well, at least I educate my self and know about the unseen.

Majority of the individuals on this site have stated to not be racist. If that's the case, why is our society function the way it does? In high schools, don't you mostly notice that people tend to stay with their own race? Also, if everyone's so friendly and embracing, why do we bicker about separation and they're many posts about racism?

Why are you white people dogging Michael Jackson and praising Elivis Presley. That's just wrong! Mr. Jackson has never got convicted of anything he was accused of. In the court of law he was found innocent. So you guys needs to stop dogging on Mr. Jackson because he's a innocent man. Then you guys praise Elvis and he's a known pedophile. Elivis was a grown man in the US military when he met 14 year old Priscilla. Then the two started dating and years later eventually they got married. Elvis also had a under age girl by the name of Anita Wood living with him when he met Priscilla. So he kicked one kid to the curve and then picked up another one. But still I don't see anyone bashing on Elvis, instead you guys call him The King. That is racist and one of the biggest doulble standards I've ever seen. That right there is a reason why I hate white people.

The Good Shepherd Home aims to love,care and motivate The Elderly.The Elderly who are the architects of the world we now live in and work from.These valuable assects are isolated,lonely and even ignored.Many can be found in Old Age Homes, they own property and have well educated and settled children.Old Age Homes have importance and are definitely a great support to The Elderly,BUT they are for those who have no one in this entire world.The Government has threatened the children with serious action including confiscating property, if they do not take care of their parents.Can anyone force a relationship ?? This will cause more hatred between them.They will begin to even hate the Government who stopped what they were to inherit.The only way is work on how we can bring us closer to each other.We have programs in schools where we challenge the children to take up the responsibility of their Parents/Elders.The result is a reliasition in the children,tears and a promise to parents !
