FIRST...DR ATKINS DID NOT DIE OF A HEART ATTACK OR HEART DISEASE!!!!!!

second....how do you think people ate thousands of years ago??? MEAT, eggs, fish veggies and fruit. Studies have shown that these people lived healthy lives.Healthier than we do now!! They were not overweight. There was no fast food and sugar laden junk food to eat. The fats that are bad for you are the TRANS FATS that most companies are getting rid of now. Atkins has been proven to lower blood pressure and cholesterol and diabetes has gone away.

As for fruit, if you are doing Atkins by the book (which by the way if you ARE doing Atkins, you need to get the book and read it!!)you start to add lower carb berries in during Phase 2.

The Atkins diet is not supposed to be permanently meat-heavy.

Our diets are so unbalanced, sugar and carb heavy, the first two weeks are a sort of boot camp to steer one back towards balance. once there, you re-integrate fruits and other items back into your diet.

Atkins himself get bashed for dying of heart problems, but he lived a normal-length life. But certain interests make a lot of money sugar and carb-heavy diets, so Atkins is bashed undeservedly so. They'd rather have us all fat yet undernourished, and feeding their golden parachutes.

And any worthwhile diet plan (incl Atkins) advises more exercize as well.

Common sense alone should tell you that a diet consisting entirely of animal products is going to be bad for you. There's a very easy way to lose weight without trashing your body. It's called 'the Amazing Eat Less and Exercise More Diet!!!'

I can send you details on this amazing new weight loss technique for free. Used to be $49.99, but I'm feeling generous today.
