I need information on iranian housewarming customs?

I would like to buy a gift for an Iranian couple that have just purchased a new home. What would an appropriate gift be?

depends on how much you want to spend. maybe a small persian rug would do. we usually give decorative items to each other as the house warming gift. something silver, or colourful dishes, or a vase (with some flowers of course). but if you want to go cheap, then just a flower pot would do!
