is that proof that the liberal minority voice will use the rae card wherever it could possibly be even considered

they had summits at Howard University to discuss racism and huriicanne katrina, mostly by racist black activists and professors,,, remember the 'exterminate white people' guy on youtube, well all the other speeches from that conference got taken of the air becuase they were equally disgusting, one guy said while shaking his head,'We give too much credit to white folk, from hiroshima to the way the kill out brothers and siters, to the enviroment' Instead of looking for ways to help each other within the community or to ask for help from outside sources,,,they just sat around at the supposed most prestigious college for black men and women in the country and all they did was blame everything on race and express thier disgust and 'hitleresque' hate for light skinned people,

my family in Gulfport, MS by the way got hit pretty good by Katrina hurricane. The town didn't have enough gas to escape the storm! My family is Caucasian and native American. I didn't see them robbing anyone but my dad's house got robbed. They even tried to steal the washer and dryer. Lucky I wasn't there, I would of shot the robbers on the spot!

Well...some people blame it on racism in that certain precautions were not taken in a timely manner to save a lot of people where Katrina hit in the poverty stricken neighborhoods... where mainly poor black people lived but didn't have the means to escape. Most people evacuated the areas (all races) but some were left to deal with Katrina. These people claiming racism feel that the authorities neglected certain areas and people, and they feel they were more concerned with others.

that we still are a racist and classiest country,,,,, i am not sure it was so much race, as poverty,,,,, and yes the poorer in that region happened to be black,,,,,so it was the poor class of people who suffered most,,,,, the better off ones, both white and black and all races, got the heck out of Dodge!!
after that,,,, all classes and races are suffering with what the insurance companies and the government is doing, in the follow-up (rather lack of follow-up)

yes, the flooding caused special problems,,,, but i was in Alabama in the late 70's when Fredrick came threw,, the next day the national guard was in there with bags of ice,,, the Red Cross with food tents set up, etc,,,,, i am so shocked that this occured like it did, with people having to suffer and die,,,,,, 25 years later,,,,, we should of improved more, not regressed!
ps: buses were not lined up,,,,,,,, they did not even call in/up the school buses,,,, and the other public transiet buses were only used to take people to the dome , not out of town!

first,,, have you ever been to New Orleans? do you realize how spread out it is? second,,,,, i have not heard about buses outside of the city, but i can assure you its not so simple as walking out,,,,, especially for those elderly or with small children,,,,,, and for those with no cash money,,,
New Orleans did not prepare enough, they did not take care of their poorer citizens,,,, they didnt expect that flooding to happen,,,, just look at what happened to nursing homes, the hospitals etc,,,,,, so it was an across the board lack of preparing,,,, but honestly, most major cities have no feasible plan to get all of their citizens out,,,,,, especially those in poverty,,,

more important to me, then why they didnt leave, what they had offered to them for leaving, is what happened after,,,,,, no one went in to help them,,,, except for the ones rescueing them with helicopters,, even the Red Cross didnt drop supplies down (even if they wouldnt go in until it was safe),,,, and the lact of safety wasnt so much the water, it was lack of policing,,,,,
everyone has their own opinions, but for me,,,,, these charitable organizations are not getting my money or blood, until they can serve better then they did in the situation....... i already really didnt expect my government to help me,, lol

once again, i think its more of a class thing,,,, and minority races are often in the lower classes,,,, it doesnt matter what happens, the richer, well connected, those in government etc, are going to be better off
except tornados, that is a equal opportunity disaster

Actually, I blame the hurricane ITSELF on racism. Bush, Cheney, and their pals at Haliburton saw that the hurricane was going to strike the Gold Coast of Florida, around Boca Raton. So they used secret CIA techniques to re-route Katrina into the blackest area they could find. Then they all sat around, lighting their cigars with $100 bills and laughing about "those miserable darkies in New Orleans".

hurrican katrina had no race. however, race was, and is still being used to profit from the storm.

I would have to agree with you......that the race card is used whenever something bad happens, or when someone doesn't get their way. Hopefully this will get old and not happen anymore.

Your words prove that you know nothing about the events of that time. Or about anything else, for that matter.

Do everyone a courtesy and shut up.
