Ya. But they're just trying to make a point.

It's been getting worse for a while. There are lots of attacks that you don't know about. Try looking up the news around leeds for example (if you don't live near there) There are shootings all the time in Britain actually but it's usually exclusively gang related.
These recent ones were shocking because one was in a very public place (ice rink) and a house break in. The people were also very young. Also just before that there was a shooting during the day at McDonalds and it was all in the same area of London.

Because the news made a big fuss they (people with guns) are getting excited and trying to scare people now.

At least now they (the government) will start taking gun crime bloody seriously!

I've heard that the statistics say it's got better over the past five years BUT by the end of this year that may have changed. Those murders are pretty shocking. Our prime minister seems to think the state has all the answers for this with more imprisonments and Stalinist style interventions in the lives of young children.
My view is that this problem can best be solved by strong men (preferably fathers) providing discipline in the lives of boys. Strong families make strong communities.

Unfortunately the people in power now are from the feminist left and they prefer to sideline patriarchal figures and let the matriarchal state do the work that fathers can do better really.

The removal of the death penalty has let the criminals have a free rein as to what they do. the maximum sentence is now less than 15 years for murder so why not carry a gun and use it as the train robbers in the 60's got 25 years for a haul of several million and they did not carry guns. the situation will get worse until the people who carry guns feel threatened by the law.

Yes without a doubt its got worse. Its seems to be easy for people to get hold of guns these days too.The government need to do more to crack down on gun crime and hopefully deter people from carrying guns.

The UK keeps deluding itself into believing that gun control works. Guns can always be had for the right price.

When you take guns away from law-abiding citizens, criminals have more freedom to commit crimes. I am all for criminals not having gun, knives, sharp pencils, etc, but this won't happen. I have a concealed carry permit and ALWAYS leave the house armed. I isn't that I want to have to use my weapon, but I sure don't want to need it and not have it.

Yes..and it WILL get worse unless Blair and his cronies get , as they said, 'tough on grime...i mean crime'
In other words the UK is screwed and it will soon be sunk under the sea of liberal do-gooders.
