the organizers feel it will incite racial tension amongst groups and could cause riots. this comes just a day before Australia day when we should be proud to be aussies and encouraged to support our country. has the world gone crazy?? what would your reaction be if asked to do the same in your country and why??

Before I ask this, let me say this: I am not racist. Just asking a simple observation question. I sometimes wonder if some african american's hold themselves back in life by blaming their problems on everyone else EXCEPT themselves and complaining about the past instead of working on the present or the future. There are plenty of white, asian, mexican, etc. who are in the same situation. They never blame other races or live in the past....a past they never experienced, so why do some african americans?

If we act afraid to say words are we not giving the word more power to destroy?
The word I used is most prevelent in western society although all over the place there are such words and when is it okay to say those words when its your own culture? How is this right?

I mean seriously, she's just about perfect (physically that is). I haven't really seen any other Jewish girls that compare. I'm not implying that Jewish girls are unnattractive, I just haven't been exposed to many of them (the U.S. population statistically is about %2 Jewish).

She dosn't appear to possess the typical "Jewish Characteristics" (the distinct shaped nose, dark hair, etc.). I believe that she is only 1/2 Jewish though, this may be the reson behind the lack of the physical Jewish features.

I think its disgusting that women wear veils and men shouldn't have that much control over them. Its horrible that a religion would have a women be murdered if they don't wish to support Islam. I think Veils should be illegal for safety reasons and Dutch cartoonists have the right to draw cartoons of Muhammed. I am not religious but I agree with the pope that Islam brings out terrorism and Violence. I mean look at how shitty the middle east is.

okay, I know that it is proper to use the terms " Asian American, African American, Native American".. Ect.

and I am not asking this question to be mean, nasty or racist-
I am just wondering if in general there words have a negative association.
My family is from the south, and while we are not racist- I think my older relatives might use words that are a little.. "dated." like,.. "colored", "Oriental" ( I though oriental was a negative term but I've seen resturants that advertise Oriental food- So I'm not sure. "china man" "Arabian" "Native people" ( refering to native americans) Latin, and Jew.
