I think its disgusting that women wear veils and men shouldn't have that much control over them. Its horrible that a religion would have a women be murdered if they don't wish to support Islam. I think Veils should be illegal for safety reasons and Dutch cartoonists have the right to draw cartoons of Muhammed. I am not religious but I agree with the pope that Islam brings out terrorism and Violence. I mean look at how shitty the middle east is.

First of all, we believe that it is from GOD, so HE being the CREATOR, will command us only things that are good for us.
With regards to women, Islam protects women by covering them in Hijab. Why is the crime rate against women in the US the highest in the world??? And what about the Islamic countries? Doesnt that show what Hijab has done?
The Hijab is a sort of protection for women, it doesnt subjugates her status. Muslim women can study, work, do business just like any other female but they do it in Hijab.
People raise a hue and cry about POlygamy. In the west you can have multiple sexual partners until you settle down, which is termed OKAY to them, but when in Islam Polygamy is an option not a MUST, they deny.
In any given population, women are greater than men. More men are killed in wars. Biologically the life span of females is higher than males. So what will become of the remianing females who dont find a husband?? Either become a second wife to a married male and get social RIGHTS
OR
Become a public property which is happening in the western society.

Excuse me. The quran from god who created you tells women to wear them so rapest like you dont gaze at them. It is done for the love of god because it is said that they should cover there hair. Think about it the quan was not changed once since its was released unlike all of the other holy books.Just to let you know in our religion we arent suppose to draw cartoons of our prophets because we dont know what they look like. No Islam is not a religion of violence but rather peace. If the middle east is so shitty right know why dont you find another source of oil because only more then 90% of the oil comes from there. The worlds only 7 star hotel is there. Some of the worlds richest countries are there. The average amount per persons income/ amount in bank is $100,000 and yeah like 10 times the amount over here. I agree to a point. There is no freedom of religion and it should not warrant death, nor punishment if she chooses not to wear it. This is a violation of human rights. With that said though, most of these women want to wear there veil. It is in there culture, and religion. It is a sin not to wear it for them, as it is a sin for us to murder, lie, cheat, etc. (Christians). Most do it out of respect and who are we to tell them they can't. That is why when they come to America, they still choose to wear it.

Its part of their belief. Women must cover themselves revealing only their eyes.
Men must wear their little head thingies.
I think thats why muslim women wear veils.
And yes the middle East people are shitty as you put it because no one is listening to them i know i get rampant if no one listens to me after repeating myself once. I believe they've been shouting for support for over 100 years.

Not in America. We have freedom of speech/expression/religion for this very reason- so people can't persecute you just because they don't like what you say or believe. The Netherlands actually is considering a burqa (sp?) ban, and they don't have a guarantee of freedom of expression in their country. Let's see where that gets them- they're only going to inflame the already volatile ethnic climate in that country.

Islam doesn't bring terrorism and violence. It's the people who practice Islam and are extremists and interpret Islam the way they want, they are the ones that bring terrorism and violence.

Its cuz men out there are hound-dogs, and so husbands don't want men jumping their hot wife. Women who are raped out there can be punished just as intensely as the raper, so they prefer to stick to the veil.
