There was a show with Oprah with this exact topic. If you can get your hands on it, it'll show you the point of view of people around the world in regards to that. As far as I'm concerned America is a powerful country that has so much to offer but its foreign policy is not always adequate for lack of a better word. Political leaders such as George Bush reinforce negative feelings. The president definitely compromised international relationships with a lot of countries and that is unfortunate. America is still a beautiful country offering a profusion of opportunities and the home of people around the world that love being in the states and that are aware of such a privilege.

America just isn't portrayed well in the media. It isn't even portrayed well in the media here in America. And so I think a lot of people base their impressions of America off the media rather than from the facts. But if they did their homework they would probably find that America gives out more money, aid and protection to the countries of the world than any one else, even in history. A lot of countries would not be where they are today if it wasn't for America. Do some homework yourself you'll be impressed with all that America does.

Adam, i'm Portuguese so i imagine i'm in good structure to respond to. on the grounds that i'm no longer an American. i appreciate various the united states's achievements, extra often than not in technologies, cinema, technology, and so on. notwithstanding, that is trouble-free the actuality the united states authorities and military are doing various undesirable issues all over the area. Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, putting dictators in cost of countries, like Mubarack of Egypt, Pinochet of Chile, and so on, are merely some issues to point. The apathy of the yankee human beings in direction of what their authorities is doing is staggering. i imagine individuals ought to evoke and comprehend that their authorities is definitely corrupt and should be stopped. i imagine electing Ron Paul can be a strong answer. I actually were seeing some video clips about him and that i accept as true with maximum of what he says. He feels like an truly consistend candidate. And he needs to close all united states military bases in overseas countries and produce the US troops decrease back to the united states. an major component to be executed, and that i garantee you human beings will end hating the united states.

Some people don't like what our government is doing.
I must point out though, someone here said that we think we are superior to other countries. That may be true for a lot of people here in America, but lots of Canadians and English think they're better than us too. I hate the Canadians because of that, and because of their accents!

I don't think a majority of other countries hate the US. I think people in other countries often disagree with our gov't policy. We're one of the most popular countries to visit and immigrate to...we can't be all that hated around the world.

Probably a misinterpretation of what we see as pride. In some cultures, such overt pride in your country comes across as arrogance, but it isn't intended to be arrogance at all. Sounds more like a communication breakdown than it does a real issue.
But I would say that George W. Bush could be another reason. I personally can't stand him.

I'd say because they do, but that sounds too easy. True, but too easy.
There are many reasons why everyone hates America. Number one being George Bush, number two being George Bush, and number three being the irritating manner in which you taunt us Canadians with the use of the word EH.
