I once heard a college professor talk about Star Trek.
He said that the future would PROBABLY NOT be like on Star Trek. For one reason; people.
He said that it is very complex to send people into space. Robots can do the same thing as people. And a bonus; if a robot crashes, who cares? If you crash the Enterprise and 1,400 people die; then everyone would be outraged.

He also felt that the human body would "evolve" into a cyborg with most of the parts replaced with different manufactured parts. This is how we will live longer and be without disease or pain.

He did not think robots would replace us. But rather be part of our world, as equals. Because we will - literally - be robots with souls.

You all the time see these immigrants driving around with their native flags hanging from their rear view or stickers plastered on their cars. I mostly see Porto ricans and Mexicans doing it but there's a lot of them. I think its insulting to Americans. Its also pretty stupid considering they probably swam a bannana boat to get here or risked their lives in the desert to come here and try to display pride in the country they just abandoned. To me if they are so proud of their homeland, they should go the hell back.
If they want to be American display the stars and stripes, get the hell off of welfare and contribute!

Why is it that every time I post a question about getting things done at a poverty level of income, someone comes on and posts that we should get a job, why do they assume that just because someone is poor that they don't work their fingers off just like a lot of other people.
I worked hard all my life till it literally broke me. and I've always lived on the "poor" level, 3 kids and single mom, don't work well toward financial success. what's the deal? anyone know.?? and please dont be mean, just to be mean.

I'm sorry to bother everyone. But I need some info on personal hygiene practices. What ways do you brush your teeth? What ways do you groom your hair? How many times do you take a bath a day? I need some info quick!!! I tried the internet. I tried the library. No results. So that is why Im asking people. This is my topic my teacher gave me so I can't change it. the folks here that didn't vote for him, and now see him ignoring the advice of his constituants, people, and military generals? In banks, insurance companies and malls all I see are women and blacks working there. They give tests and only women and blacks
pass. It happens every Christmas. Yet if a woman or a black does

Yesterday, when I was in African American Studies, our class discussed assimilation or something like that. The teacher was telling us about how a lot of black people are trying so hard to assimilate that they forget where they came from and whatnot. Then she went on and on about the differences in black culture and other cultures. Then my friend (she's black) was like 'Reese (me) and her family act like my family and they mexican.' And I corrected her. All I said was that I'm cuban. Everybody was sayin it's the same thing. Then this one girl said that it was stupid for me to say I was Cuban, because I look black. She was like all races fall into two categories generally. Black/White.

Then the girl was telling people that I'm just tryna front like I ain't black.

I know I'm black. But what's wrong with me claiming my other heritages too. My mother is black/white/west indian (born and raised in mumbai) and my dad was born and raised in La Habana. What's wrong with being multiracial

I've heard that Jews believe in hell, but it's not forever. Depending on the seriousness of one's sins one may stay a day, a year, etc. Explain please? If hell is temporary, can one repent after death? Does this determine how long one stays in hell? Where does one go after being released from hell? Reincarnation? Annihilation? Heaven? Jesus spoke of hell, he was Jewish. So I'd like to understand what he may have meant by hell. Thanks.
