Sometimes, I wonder what makes people kill.

Obviously in times of war most but not all people will kill.

We have our sacred cows be they family or whatever.

If so, what about people who have already lived in America before Columbus? Do they need to be discovered?

I want to know the individual perspective. I don't want the history of Columbus or history of America.This is old controversial issue in America. But the question is about what do you think and why? Please feel free to express your idea. Serious thoughts only, though.

Most of us would say "Asians" who live in America. When we say Asians, we basically accept the idea that people who are from continent of Asia. Also, "Asian people" in category of "Asians" have black hair, black eyes, yellow skin, small eyes. Basically, those people are chinese, japanese, korean, filipino, vietnamese, and other yellow skin asians. However, if we call people, who are from continent of Asia and who those came to settle down in America, are Asian American, how about people with blue eyes, pale skin, blonde hair from continent of Asia, for example, Russia? Why don't we call those people as Asians even though they are from continet of Asia? So my question are what "Asian Americans" are and how do you categorize them? You can answer from individual view or social view or both.

My issue deals with people telling me I'm not black enough. First of all, It's really sad that I have to get referred to as some black guy. I want to be know as Marcus. I feel like the world wants to give me preselected options on who I can be. I enjoy sports and dancing, but I also like to sky dive and listen to alternative rock. I'll just say this to all the bigots: "Go out and get a PHD in Genetics, find the gene that conferss a preference towards being ghetto, and I will rest my case."

Let's clarify things...I don't HATE anyone!!
but I get nervous and uneasy when I'm around
black people. Well it's the internet so...THEY SCARE
THE S***T OUTTA ME!! Asians do to. All I can think about
when I see an asian are those movies where they do
karate and kill folks with no reason. I know that many
stereotypes are untrue but I still feel VERY uneasy when
surrounded by other races. I keep thinking someone's gonna
shout "KILL WHITEY!" Even supposedly peaceful Native Americans scare me and Latin people...all I think of is mexican gangsters. I know that this is wrong but I CAN'T HELP IT!!
I remind you I DO NOT HATE ANYONE!! I just feel uneasy yes even frightened. Is is racist?

I've noticed that Americans and Canadians in Mexico proudly call themselves 'gringo', while most Americans in America consider 'gringo' to be extremely derogatory. Is it like the n-word, where its OK as long as its white people calling each other 'gringo'? And what about 'pocho'...I always want to use that on Chicanos who can't speak Spanish (talk about uncultured), but I think only Mexicans in Mexico can get away with using that word. By the way, are Black Americans gringos too?
