I'm embarrassed by our county because we have people dieing in our own streets from drugs, hunger and mental illness. They are put aside for the hungry and repressed in other county's. If we focused on our own people fist and take care of our children and their future. Then we can give whats left. The government Say's we don't have the funds to help our own people but we have billions to spend on other county's. Whats wrong with this???

You know, for what we have to deal with in today's society, I'm a little disappointed in how we've become less moral and ethical ppl, but with what we have and what society tells us we're supposed to be and do, I think we're doing okay, I just think American's could do better, I know I could do better, I try to do better every day and a lot of ppl here do; being kind to others, following what our beliefs, treating others with respect and dignity.

I am embarassed by the rampant ignorance of a significnat portion of people claiming to be Americans. If you don't like it here because you are "embarassed", please exercise your right to travel and leave. Go to Vietnam... North Korea... Iraq... but wait, Jane Fonda is still in the US, so it can't be as bad as she thinks it is.
America is still the best country in the world. Nothing to be embarrassed about that.

Never am I embarrassed to be an American. Yes, our country has done some stupid things-but there's others who have done worse. Trouble with America is-it can afford to do REALLY BIG stupid things. I am a proud American. I didn't do those really big stupid things.
